Game keeps freezing when trying to delete walls

• Mods: Mods folder removed and mods deactivated in settings menu

• Steps to Reproduce: Go to the largest lot in Bliss Bay (The 510 address). Place the last saved preset and try to delete the side wall in the garage area. The game will also freeze, when trying to install the build preset that was created in “Build Mode".”

• The game then needs to be manually shut down. It will not unfreeze.

• Please provide the entire save file(s) from the date when the issue occurred.

Here’s a short-term solution. Can you please try this in your game and see whether it begins to behave just like in the other thread? That’d really help to figure out if it’s exactly the same bug:

Tried it on new saves old saves and in ever city

Temporary measure i have found is each time it happens to click the windows button then go back into the game . This solves it briefly and allows me to build or place objects a bit more , until it kicks in again ‘

The same happens with being unable to click on the floor and call over or move here etc and have to do the same thing with the windows button

A long-term solution was added, but we’re not aware if it worked. Please try it in your game too:

I was having the same issue. this is what I did to fix it.

1. Delete mods while in Inzoi in-game “Installed Mods”
2. Close the game
3. Manually deleted files on desktop | documents/InZOI/User_data/88849
4. in search window type/copy in %localAppdata%/inZoi/user_data/88849 (if nothing comes up you don’t have the file. If you have it delete the mods
5. Make sure your pre-sets do not have missing thumbnails or files. if you find any missing files delete them. go to> | documents/inZoi/Gallery
6. Check any content you downloaded from the Gallery and delete any missing files (I looked for ones with no thumbnails
7. Go to your Steam Account and right click on the game in your library and select Verify Files - (At this point I restarted the game and was able to get on but it would still crash or freeze and I could not upload to Canvas. (If I tried to save it crashed, I also think it was crashing when the game tried to auto save)
8. I then found this video and I did all the steps and the graphics became super fast, clear and crisp and and the game looks even more amazing! So follow all the steps in the video. https://youtu.be/iNXF3YBT6J8

Hi!!

So I just tried all of those steps and watched the video. But, my game is still freezing.

My issue is not exactly like the other community member’s post. My issue happens even after just clicking 1 wall or floor.

You’re using the “normal” inZOI version, right? Not the beta engine_upgrade one.

Could you switch to the 2025-12-22 version? It’s listed in the Steam inZOI settings → versions & betas → “2025-12-22 Older version of inZOI”? It’ll help you to be able to play the game without the lags until a new patch for this new version gets released. Unfortunately, that’s the only workaround I can think of right now

Yes, I’m using the normal Inzoi version… However, I first experienced this error while using the BETA version.

Hi there. This is exactly what I was experiencing just before I was no longer able to get into build mode. But in Cahaya. I did all the previous steps that that allowed me to get into build mode. But this still happens intermittingly. I think it is something with the auto save. This is what I have been doing to bypass the issue.

1. If it freezes your computer, do the hard re-start
2. When you re-enter build mode
3. Click on the tile with no image
4. Install that pre-set
5. Once it installs delete the ones that have no image
6. Keep building and when you exit your game go into your saved pre-sets and delete the presets that are missing the thumbnail(s)

Also fi I know I am going to be building for a while I also change the auto save settings Happy Zoi’ing

Omg!! Thank you soooo much!! This actually worked!!

–→ I also completely disabled “Auto-saving”.. I will reenable it once I’m done building,

I really hope they find a fix for this issue.

**Update: The problem still occurs. However, I am able to build for a little longer before it happens again.

I’m happy it worked. Try saving while you are building. I also delete all the previous saved versions in the pre-sets. It takes up memory
