Accessories are a big part of customization on InZOI, however, most current necklaces will float over the body (way too much). I understand this is due to the possibility of wearing multiple layers. However, this causes the necklace to not show realistically.
A solution that could possibly work:
- When creating a necklace, we need to give the mod kit on what layer it will be sitting on (number).
What if… when the necklace’s layer (number) is a greater number than other layers on the same area (say shirt → necklace), the necklace automatically offsets / scales accordingly to the geometry of the lower layers in relation to the position the necklace would be sitting on when created (naked manny).
So lets say I make a necklace. And I assign it the number 5 on the layer priority.
And a shirt is layer 10 (for example).
In this case, the necklace would be UNDER the shirt. This could cause clipping but it’d be intended.
Now lets say, we create a very long necklace, and give it a layer priority of 50.
This necklace would scale or offset accordingly in relation to the shirt’s geometry (maybe acting as some sort of collider? just maybe.) this would cause the necklace to sit nicely on top of the shirt and be less floaty. And when you remove the shirt, the necklace would offset accordingly to fit the body as there are no other layers under it but the body itself.
Just an idea, not sure if this is doable on Unreal Engine, but it’d be nice to have something like this. Current necklaces are waaay too floaty.
