Motor Engine 5.6

  • Game Version: Engine 5.6

  • Platform: Steam windows

  • Mods: (Choose one: never used / removed / active)
:round_pushpin:If you have used mods before, please list them:

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System (OS version, CPU, GPU, RAM, storage…):
Ryzen 7000 series, 32 GB RAM, 4060 GEFORCE RTX, 1 TB storage

  • Steps to Reproduce:

Since I updated to the new engine, I’ve noticed that the game runs with more difficulty and my Zois get stuck more easily. I’ve tried lowering the graphics and it seems to run a bit smoother, but I’d like to continue using high graphics. I’ve used Donuts and they don’t work at all, as they don’t increase the needs or produce any effect on my Zoi.

I know you’re planning to improve the graphics, but since I updated I’ve noticed more flickering around the Zoi when it moves. I’m not sure if I need to adjust my graphics settings or what, but it’s a bit annoying.

Hey there @Cathaysa. Thanks for posting this. Would you kindly share your game settings with us? You can do so by taking screenshots of them for example.

I wrote a guide about various technical issues we’ve encountered in this forum and how to adjust your settings. Feel free to take a look at them here: inZOI – Graphics & Performance Guide (What Actually Matters)

Hi! This is my current setup  Now I’m also having a problem with textures and my Zoi disappears in Zoi creation mode…

Thank you for the fast reply and the detailled screenshots :folded_hands:

Would you please change NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution to “balanced” and NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation to “off”? Both settings don’t change anything about your high settings below and they’re known for causing trouble in some cases. Please report back if the game runs smoother with those two changes.

Additional info: The flickering around the Zois you mentioned might be related to “realistic shadows” in the settings. Unreal Engine 5 is known to have difficulties with shadows and general lighting issues, so feel free to tune that too

That change helped me! Or at least as far as the lag is concerned. Thank you very much! I’ll have to keep testing the engine since it used to do it especially when I had been playing for a while:slightly_smiling_face:
