I researched mods from one of the games to illustrate the proposed Canvastown Theme Tool (advanced settings inside the existing Edit City / City Appearance):
- Theme – a general preset that includes all settings, e.g. Frost, Atoll, Los Angeles
- LUT – color grading presets, e.g., Tropical, Warm, Cold
- Terrain – terrain textures (soil, rock etc.), forest, fields, sprites, backdrop
- Water – water/underwater color, texture and setting
- Atmosphere – longitude, latitude, sun position, exposure, rayleigh/mie scattering, night sky, stars, moon
- Weather – day/night temperature, rain, fog, snow, northern lights, natural disasters probability
- Structures: buildings, roads and sidewalks – texture and color, type (asphalt/pavement, gravel, dirt)
- Street Props – lamp types (e.g., street lamp, old French double lamp, old gas lantern, park light), trees, holiday street illumination; density
- Building themes – e.g., Green Cities, Rural US, European Suburbia with buildings preview
- Vehicles – categories, types (brands), and counts of vehicles across the town and buildings (police cars, mail vans, airplanes, etc.)
- NPC – exposing DataAssets settings: Diversity Info Ratio (Culture, Race), Gender Identity Ratio, Crowd Group Ratio (Wealthy, Commoner)
(for those who asked about social groups, they are implemented in Cahaya) - NPC Pack – selecting outfit packs to create authentic towns, e.g., 50s citizens, manual NPC editing and spawning from Canvas
- Control City sliders – City Safety, Health, Sanitation, Fire Prevention Rate
