What type of mods are most looking forward to?

In light of the latest InZoi survey and Krafton’s interest in expanding the modding community on InZoi: what mods would you like to have or make and most importantly: why?

  • CAZ Mods
  • Build Mods
  • Script Mods (S F W)
  • Script Mods (N S F W)

I am looking forward for more support for a wider variety of CAZ mods. At the same time, the talk about N S F W script mods concerns me, given how it went for Sims4 and the fact that there’s already questionable behaviour by some modders regarding specifically children.

First of all, of course, mods in the form of all kinds of custom clothing, i.e. CAZ Mods.

But at the same time, I have nothing against scripts, including “adult” ones. I’m not interested in children in this regard, and in Sims I’ve never seen anything of this kind related to them, even though I used the most famous “adult” mod, and I didn’t see anything special about it. For me, as an adult, it’s quite acceptable to see anatomical details of characters taking a shower. Plus, I really don’t like how the blur is implemented in Sims - it draws much more attention than a character performing hygiene procedures simply standing somewhere to the side of the screen. In InZOI, this is implemented much better already now, and doesn’t cause rejection.

In general, I would rather be waiting for “adult” CAZ Mods  I hope the developers will be able to make the game mechanics engaging on their own, so I won’t want to change them using third-party solutions.

Ill try and summarize what mods I want the most, from what I put in the survey.

I want a new category inside the game menu called “Classic Mods”
This category would feature all of the content that was changed over the patches, giving us the old stuff if we want to go there and enable them.

Here’s a list of mods that could go in there :

  • Classic UI (Pre-Cahaya UI with the small emotion dots and smaller round portrait imbedded in the action bar)
  • Towel in Bath/Shower
  • No Bathrobe after showering/bathing
  • Classic aging groups (ie: Realistic Aging we had prior patch 0.2.0)
  • 55’000 Mew starting money (Pre-Cahaya or 0.4.0 I forget when this was changed)
  • Zoi can get killed from getting hit by cars.
  • Zoi can kill other zois when hitting them with cars.
  • Early game Karma

More would show up over time, maybe disappear if we get solid fixed in live game (like proper age sliders, the current ones are bad and almost useless to me)… Not all changes are popular, in fact most of my complaints with InZOI to this day are from (to me) stupid changes that now we have to fight tooth and nail to get OUT of InZOI, because we never got given any options (like it should have been) and a choice was made for us…

The players that do not care would never hit that mod folder in the game.
Normies that don’t play enough, never tasted the previous settings would never go there either.
Some of us who lament the loss of this and that mechanics from earlier version could go there instead of trying to find the needle in the haystack of mods and hope the creator did a good job and is not going to abandon his/her mods later… which is a genuine issue like it or not.

That’s what I put in there. I am VERY weary of the dev team’s “changing things for the sake of changing it” and imposing that on 90% of the players that NEVER complained about this stuff. The “classic mods” option from InZOI creators themselves would be a very nice way to customise your game.

My 2 cents.
Oh and other than that, I use so little mods that I do not really care. In fact the only mods I use are to fix parts of the changes that I managed to fix myself or other players did… Or I would use ZERO mods, well maybe one.

CaZ mods are so important for people to be able to play in their own style (if that makes sense) and they are actually quite fun to make minus the process which can be a pain haha.

I’d say build mods too, but I believe they where quite bugged which is a pity.

For script mods I’d like just to add smoking, overrides of the lobby and minor additions. I wish InZoi to be the type of game that does not need mods, just make them a nice addition.
