Dear Kjun!
This is exactly what all my recent requests on the forum and Steam have been about. It’s clear that we’re critically lacking a free pose editor to create stories like these! I actually created a thread about this in “Brainstorming” just yesterday, and then I saw that there were already several posts on this topic last year. This would allow us to create at least photo stories.
For video, we need the ability to set up a sequence of poses, between which the game should intelligently interpolate the movements. “Keyframes,” so to speak. Of course, it will be very difficult to coordinate the actions of two Zoi this way, but for one character it could work.
Additionally, we need the same kind of “pre-set” camera control to ensure cinematically smooth movement. You can see yourself how the camera jerks in videos when filming. But we need smooth pans, panoramic shots, sweeping movements from left to right, and so on. Also based on predetermined keyframe points in the scene.
Another important aspect for video creation is the ability to record video without displaying the interface. That is, if a player issues commands to characters to act directly while creating a video—they should see what they’re doing—where they’re clicking, what conversations and actions they’re selecting—but this shouldn’t appear in the final video. There should be a clean shot showing only the environment and the characters.
And of course—the ability to build completely custom worlds. If it’s a story about a desert or jungle with waterfalls, none of the towns that exist today would work for me. The same goes for historical landscapes—there’s simply nowhere to fully realize them under current conditions.
So give us posing and the ability to build scenes—and we’ll take it from there! I have an entire book that I haven’t published yet, dreaming someday of “adapting it to screen,” but other games were completely unsuitable for this. And now there’s InZOI, and I remembered my “fixation” again ![]()
P.S. In my book, in the first scene, I’ll need ice holes in a frozen river where you can swim. It would be great to realize these scenes directly in the game rather than drawing them in Photoshop ![]()
With great gratitude to you personally and your entire team!
