Please improve or remove Burglar event

There’s just no nice way to say it: The burglar event is bad. It tries to be funny, but it’s just so poorly done. Here are some key points:

  • It takes forever
  • Security cameras do nothing but make noise
  • Even with the alarms going off it takes your Zoi forever to even react to them being there
  • He always knocks you out - it doesn’t matter if you’re Bruce Lee
  • The cops always let him steal stuff, no matter how fast they get there (and even when they’re in the same room as him!)
  • The whole thing feels clunky and half-baked

I have yet to see anyone have anything good to say about the burglar event. It does nothing to add to the gameplay in a meaningful or positive way, and just makes the game feel very unpolished. Honestly, I think the game would be better without this event, but if the InZoi team insists on keeping it, it’ll need some vast improvements IMHO.

Regarding “He will always knock you out — no matter if you’re Bruce Lee,” I have to respectfully disagree. My Zoe defeated a robber, he ran away, but this event didn’t reflect in her memories at all. This event would add variety to the game’s routine, it just needs to be refined.

I totally Agree … add an option to disable the burglars they are ridiculously redundant and happen far too often after update and usually does not complete and ends up with the burglar that is supposed to be gone wandering about your house like they live there until you rescue them cause they will never leave if you don’t they will hang around for days and use your ramen machine and everything

@jamieallan93 I agree that improving the event would be preferable to removing it, but I feel that removing, or at least adding the option to disable the event, would be preferable to leaving it as is.

@tatyana-gold Then you must be Chuck Norris. I’ve never won that fight!

@Killerpoet THIS. The option to disable the event, at least until they can figure how to have the event execute properly. I don’t need a new criminal roomate!
