Steps to Reproduce: try to put different dishes up for sale, for me happened most times specifically with choclate cake - the price does not scale with the quality as it should
Please provide the entire save file(s) from the date when the issue occurred.
Details:
Sometimes and more often for certain dishes the price does not scale with product quality as it shold. It seems then to take the selling price for good quality for all qualities. E.g. choclate cake (1 portion) at good quality sells for 51 per plate but also medium and excellent quality choclate cakes are sold for 51 when placed on display for sale.
Not sure if this is related but in these cases the product also loses the info on its quality when you hover over it after it is placed for sale. See screenshot, this was an excellent quality choclate cake now selling only for 51 Mew (2 Star Shop) without showing its quality:
For comparison the 1st Anniversary cake has the same material costs (51 Mew) and has the same selling prices as the chocolate cake (also selling for 51 Mew at good quality in a 2 Star shop). But here the pricing scales with the quality and the quality is also displayed when hovering over it:
This is actually happening quite often. Not only with cakes, now had the same with cooked dishes as well. It is very annoying as this massively reduces value of the sold product. Excellent and Perfect quality dishes which normally have the highest price jump are often reduced to the price for a good quality item.
Paired with the 2 additional bugs 1) we cannot sell whole dishes / cakes anymore and 2) employees are overwriting items already dispayed for sale this is now the 3rd bug which massively reduces the potential to really make profit with a bakery / café / restaurant business.
Here is another example. Family size fish and chips - value after cooking:
And after placing it for sale, quality has disappeard and it sells at a very low value in a 3 Stars shop. The price is the equivalent for a good quality fish and chips at this star level. The excellent quality uplift is not applied for the selling price:
I would really like if somebody would look into this issue. What is the purpose to bring your Zois skills up to Level 10 in order to be able to hit excellent and perfect quality more often and sell with a real profit, if the quality is just brought back to good when placed on the diplay for sale.
Even though it does not happen always but really quite often. It is mainly the case for baked goods and dishes. This does not happen to fruit drinks, coffee, cocktails or flowers.
See again here, the Zoi has a perfect dish in his hand:
Sometimes it works and then it looks like this. This is how it should be. But unfortunately it is rather rare for cooked and baked goods that it works as it should…
It is true that a lot of aspects of the business system are broken (for example configuration for your business doesn’t save), I hope it gets a revamp soon.
@EllaEstella I will try to reproduce this, I hope it gets looked into soon!
Thank you so much @Moooody and let me know if you see the same.
As said: it is not always the case but often. Especially often when employees cook - their dishes have no quality and sell at the value of good. And when you cook yourself it sometimes happen, sometimes not. I had a run where the items lost their quality like 5 times in a row and then again 6th dish showed correctly with the quality and right value.
Yes, the business model is completely off the mark. Prices and quality seem to be determined by a random AI decision—that’s the case at the flower shop, the café, and the movie theater. Even the listed price and the actual selling price vary, regardless of quality. Let’s see if the forum AI picks up on this .
