How do we feel about the babies/toddlers?
Hello @leahloveslife
your post has been moved to the Q&A category. Thank you! ![]()
I like the progress the team’s made on babies and toddlers so far. What I’m still missing is some learning curve, specifically for the toddlers. Teaching / practicing walking should give players the opportunity to see their toddlers walk one day, like a realistic evolution from babies in their cradles to crawling and potentially (with maxed out skill) wobbly walking toddlers.
Newborns are great… once they fix bugs ppl are reporting. They have lots of new voice cues (I noticed different crying that I’ve never heard before), and to be fair, it’s a newborn. Other than preventing you to sleep a full night and requiring feeding every 4 hours, it’s what it is.
People do not give toddlers enough credit. They are great. Annoying? sure. but great !
They can walk everywhere, hug other toddlers, be carried in your hands to other room… The stage just lasted too long, and the new age group bars are great to manage that.
We’re missing the “Preschooler” age group… Mid-height between a crawling toddler, and the child.
The purpose of that stage should be the “walking toddler” stage. Or call it 3-to-5 yo stage. Then child and grade school begins so that’s child. They could do wonders with that stage, and it is bound to happen one day, if only in DLC who knows.
The preschooler stage is what ppl wish the toddler would be.. But toddlers as they are have a place in the game and I’d hate to see them disappear or be changed because of it. Better if they add the new stage instead f destroying the current toddler stage.
Oh yes, I agree. Adding another life stage would be better for stability, I suppose. Since being able to walk would give the preschoolers a wider range of movement, this could include new interactions with already existing objects, such as the kids kitchen too.
It’s the learning that babies and toddlers go through that’s missing for me, and they don’t cause a lot of trouble. That’s not normal. There’s a little splashing in the toilet and pulling out rubbish, but that’s it. Plus, please stop them from going outside, it drives me up the wall.
