An idea to build on the clothing store business in future…
I’d like to be able to design and craft custom clothing. You’d design the clothing as you would using the CAZ tool. your zoi would use the sewing machine to craft these custom clothing items. Clothing items crafted at the sewing machine could be added to your zois wardrobe or sold at their own clothing store.
Craftable clothing would be great as a skill and craft added to the game, with items locked behind the skill proficiency. Ideally sewing, knitting and textile painting!
Thread: I would like to suggest giving purpose to the thread. Keep it simple, nothing to deep. This spool of thread should act as a storage for only thread. If no thread is stored inside, then the spools are empty, if you put one thread inside, there should be only one spool there, if you place 7 inside, then all the threads appear, if you have 100+ threads than it stays looking full like in the picture above.
Why store thread there you ask?
Sewing Machine: I would like to suggest that the sewing machine require thread to use. The thread can be on your person or stored inside the thread storage, whichever.
But what should you make you ask?
I would like to suggest attaching it to the custom outfit section found in CAZ. (see image below)
When you click on the sewing machine you are taken to the custom section seen in picture #1. The outfits found in picture #2 are what you call blueprints. At the start of the game, you already own these. So at level 1 for the (Tailor?) skill you would already own these blueprints. See the topic below about making sewing into a skill that reaches level 10 as suggested by @LeeLoo.
I would suggest offering more in game blueprints for players to collect. (often found reading about sewing, researching sewing on computers, attending a class). Once you collect the new blueprint you can only craft if you are 1) the proper skill level, and 2) you own some thread.
As you level up, you can purchase or discover more blueprints.
I considered that they could even sell some blueprints as a form of DLC, outfit blueprints that are more cinematic than they are playable like this one:
Way too glitch to play in live mode, but it is great for photoshoots. The only issue is that Inzoi allows for sharing and having sharable content like outfits and builds so locking some blueprints behind a paywall sort of ruins the whole sharing part of the game b.c unless you bought it too, you can’t download my creation, which is one of the annoying things about sims 4 gallery, the inability to filter out things I did not own.
It’s just right for this topic Fashion Designer career in inZOI + it will be just right to complement wealth, luxury and celebrity + we also already have a business selling clothes. All these things add up perfectly.
