Baby bug

Hello,

I’m playing on PC and I have a bug with the baby. It’s impossible to interact with them. I can’t pick them up, they can’t walk. What should I do?

It helped me to get on a scooter and go for a ride through distant streets. When you move far enough that a chunk unloads from memory, it resets, and the baby gets teleported somewhere where it can do something.

Just to be safe, I also recommend setting the render distance to low so that chunks disappear faster. And ride around for at least a couple of in-game hours while far away. For example, make a loop around the city’s perimeter.

I had the bug in my first house, I moved the family and the bug is still there.

And what happens after the relocation? Where does the baby end up?

He’s still outside, I made him sleep but it’s impossible to feed him, I had to load a previous save.

I had this when my zoi took a baby to a public lot. The baby was juddering and popping up all over the place. In the end I kept clicking on where I thought the baby would appear and eventually got lucky. Once I had it, I paused the game, lined up the interactions and then played it out.

I think there’s an earthquake. You need to tell your baby to come inside and stay calm. @dyosims @LittleBrownBiscuit @Carnel

This is certainly very strange… When moving to a different area, Zoey’s position should have definitely reset… Simply amazing!

@LittleBrownBiscuit did he move far in different directions, or “duplicate” himself, like in the video here?

@Mazikeen :+1: it’s better to stand in a doorway - it’s more reliable during earthquakes

He wasn’t taken to a public area, the dad had placed him too close to the bedroom wall upstairs and the baby ended up outside, impossible to pick up or bring back in.

Note that the baby isn’t touching the ground, he’s floating, so it’s impossible to do anything about it.

It’s not a big bug but it’s still annoying.

Thank you all for your replies and thank you for your humor, I had a good laugh.

The baby was kind of jumping about in different directions. He’d be spinning and juddering, then he’d just pop up in one spot, then suddenly appear in a different spot. IRL, it would be a space of about 10m.
