My Zoi had a romantic relationship with a NPC and he still has wants related to her but she’s no longer in his contacts and cannot message or call her. I still have text history and her profile picture in his phone is blank. This also happened to one of his guy best friends. Just poof gone no explanation no goodbye nothing…but I still have text history.
Also he had two friends that are now listed as “Unknown” and labeled as deceased but I’m unable to find how they died or when. Never got a notification and my Zoi never got sad even though they were BFFs…
Super confused??
Basically here’s the run down..
- Eric was BFF suddenly just gone from contacts and relationships panel
- Yeonggyeon Cha was a friend that suddenly is no longer available in panel or contacts
- Mingyeong was mutual crush we had just had a meet up right before she also disappeared
- My Zoi still has wants related to Mingyeong
- No goodbye texts anything (So much for the last “always be there for you” text from Mingyeong lmaooo)
- They are not in my relationship panel (tried searching name)
- I know I’m not blocked we didn’t have any bad interactions prior to this. Plus I’m sure they would still pop up on the relationship panel…?
It happened to me recently too.
One of my Zoi received a gym invite from a Zoi that shows as “Unknown” and when entering the messages it says that “you cannot send messages to a deceased Zoi”.
Another Zoi wanted to communicate her new job to the Zoi Name Surname (I don’t remember what they were), but this Zoi disappeared from her relationships.
same here I thought I was imagining things but they are all disappearing and I only have nameless massages thought they were died at first Lol!
Same thing is happening to me!! I’ve had 3 npc’s disappear now

This happened to me several times. Reverting to an earlier save helped (as it does with many other issues, all praise to the game’s autosave system), but a lot of Zois disappear that way. The desires related to them still remain, and sometimes this issue can lead to other problems and bugs in the game.

This was us… this is her… I miss her… but now she looks like (second image) just gone… forever. I’m sad and don’t know what to do. Please bring back my one true love.
Until you find a proper resolution just reload your oldest save when she is there.
Then make sure you ask her to move in with you. so she comes to your house and you can check on her.
At worse, use customzoi 99999 (where 99999 is her zoi ID) and export her so you dont lose her (thouh adding her back will reset the relationship bars).
Damn that sucks to hear if I have to do that to get her back. I guess I have to move on cause I’m in Winter now and I don’t have a home I can move her into. I’m homeless at the moment.

Details: This is starting to become a bit of a waste of time to play.
I went from 100+ relationships this afternoon to losing my lover. To losing ANOTHER lover. To having under 60 relationships remaining.
I cannot reproduce this glitch and I don’t know where its coming from but all these hours of effort of trying to build a relationship with these people are going down the drain.
How to stop this problem from happening its very frustrating.

Thanks for doing that I made another post stating the issue its even bigger than I thought. I lost over 40 relationships in a span of a few hours
Just happened for the first time.
An NPC my character was really coming on to… is no longer in the list of ppl I know.
No messages about moving out, no message about dying either.
I had not noticed, this is a new game with latest hotfix too !
I give up playing 8.0 to now in general been buggy from no one growing up households full of babies to zois just poof out of existence til they fix all this but instead waste time on another platform while the game is full of bugs. Hopefully they fix all this befor even starting to release the ps5 version.
Seriously someone is kidnapping zois anytime i talk to someone its like am not allowed to intract with people its like hours to a week in game like someone is a stalker or yandere kiddnapping or murdering them XD.
Also please add police career so we can find out who doing the kidnapping XD

I was really enjoying the game after taking a break for a year but the vanishing Zoi’s are too much.
Yeah, between that and the NPCs not aging out of their current age groups anymore, that’s why I made a non-serious temporary game. Had not done so since before 0.7.0 (when we got the age group “sliders”)
They really should focus on bug fixes and not new content.
We’re almost at June, that’s half the year gone.
A year where they were supposed to focus on bug fixes and core issue fixes/improvements.
Still 6 months left, I really hope they start doing just that.
Also for my lover disappearing ? I noticed I had saved his number.
So I sent him an “How was your day”… But he never replied, so it seems like when they disappear, they aren’t dead, they are stuck somewhere off-map and “turned off” ? weird bug.
I think i’ve also been affected by this problem. My relationships have disappeared.
I noticed that too today he went poof but i had the luck since i save a lot and the zoi that went missing was in one of those saves but this was scary , first my zoi lost her mentor and then now this now i am pondering to ask every zoi that becomes close to actually move in so i won’t lose them. I got few houses that is open that i can remodel so they may fit 8 zoi’s in each .
I can post a picture i will try a new save today and see if it pops up again and you guys know i don’t have any mods.
Came online this morning just to find he was gone again.
Does the game have a bucket list or something? as in killing of zoi’s after the game have reached a certain number zoi’s to protect itself?
I know some games got that so.. i was pondering if it had something to do with that.. ok will try a new save and see what happens
