Text messages while being on a blind date

During a pre-scheduled (via game’s system) blind date, the blind date partner (NPC Zoi Frida Burgess - Bliss Bay) texted my Zoi two negative messages. They definitely weren’t suitable to their currently positively progressing relationship + texting someone while you’re mid-conversation with them hasn’t happened in any of my saves before, so I assume it can be considered a bug.

Additional info:
The game still offered me the option to “ask to get contact info” from the Zoi, even though she was the one inviting my Zoi to the blind date days earlier. Safe to say, he would’ve had her phone number by then :thinking: I chose the interaction to get the contact info and that might’ve been a possible root for the following text messages described above.

The weirdest part to me isn’t even the negative texts, it’s the fact that the game still let you ask for her contact information after she had already invited your Zoi on a blind date. :sweat_smile:

That makes me wonder if the game somehow thought they hadn’t exchanged numbers yet, using that interaction might have triggered something it wasn’t supposed to during the date.

The texting itself is pretty funny though. Imagine sitting across from someone and instead of talking to you they send you passive-aggressive texts from the other side of the table. :joy:

Jokes aside, this does sound like a real bug rather than intended behavior. The contact info option showing up at all feels suspicious, and it could be related to the strange messages that followed. Hopefully the save file helps the team track it down.

Yes, it was a very surreal moment tbh xD Both flirting and falling in love while she’s texting him that she’s just not into him :rofl:

Truth is, the last time I attended one of those blind date events was quite a handful of major updates ago, so I can’t even guess when this buggy behavior started. It’s not a big deal and ignoring the “get contact info” interaction would probably suffice as workaround, but at least now the devs know about it :smiley:

Well, I definitely have to playtest this feature too :laughing: but jokes aside, yes I am glad you found and reported this so devs are aware, your hardwork in the forums is much appreciated, just so you know!

I have barely spent any time in schools so far, so let’s hope both of us can test all of it until the update comes out officially =)
