Is anyone else experiencing this issue? After the update, they can no longer send text messages to their contacts. I think before the update, I could, or at least my character could initiate messages. Now, I can only reply to messages they send me.
Hi! @Cathaysa I started a new save after the update, first the text messages were working normally, but yesterday it stopped. I can´t send a text message to anyone, even my husband or BFF. I can send a gift to some people and then the text message about sending a package appears, but other than that, it doesn´t work.

@ecaerys how did you manage to send a gift?! I thought they had removed this feature
@RealmOfZoi through the contacts on the phone? But it doesn´t work for every Zoi, just some.

I don’t know if it can help, but I found somebody had a similar issue in reddit here and it has some responses that might be helpful, just in case you want to try!
These were the responses:
I had this problem before and I think it’s a bug that happens when you switch zois before responding to a text that has been sent autonomously. I fixed it by playing as the other zoi, responding to the text, and then returning to the original zoi.
This happened to me. What I did is, i just clicked the call over. I can send message again after that.
p.s. Do you remember if you did anything specific with these two zois before this happened? Or was it just straight after updating the game? Just to try to reproduce it and get to know what the problem was to have the devs fix it 
It was just after the update. Before that I didn’t have any problem. Even if they didn’t have much relation it worked mostly if they had sent first

For me, the “solution” of playing as the other Zoi, responding to text, and then returning to my Zoi/ or inviting them over, fixes the messages, but only for some time. It breaks after a couple of in-game days. And some Zois I call over, but they say they are busy and refuse to come. So, if they are NPCs or “living outside of town” and they don´t want to meet me, there isn´t much that can be done.

I can only send messages to two of my acquaintances and I think that in a couple of days the same thing might happen to me. And they are the only ones I’ve been able to go out with, since they are the ones who make an appointment with me.
i’ve noticed it a bit with my husband and wife zoi. the suggestion of making sure to check the message on the others phone seems to work for me. def seems like a bug

Same in my game. This should be fixed. From my perspective it is not really a solution to go to play with another family just to respond to the message in order to get this going again.

Happens every here and there for me. Sometimes finding the zoi in game can fix it, at least I think so. It could also just be time passed, I’m not entirely sure, but yeah happens in my game too
