wasnt it supposed to be possible that we can type our own message into the phone and send it to zois? why did they remove that?

We used to be able to send messages from our end like “send greetings” or “ask about the day” if I remember correct. There was a third option I think but don´t remember what that was. Now all of this is permanently greyed out. I think only with family members it is still possible.
I really don´t like this change. It was a great way to keep the relationships going even when your Zoi had not that much time to meet some friends for a while. Also I was using it as a tracker to see that none of my rotationally played Zois who are in other families has suddenly died as you then would get a message on your phone in case that happens. Now you only have your friends in the phone chat if they text you but even then we are not allowed to text them.
I really hope they will bring it back soon.

huh, i can use these interactions just fine, nothing is greyed out for me
im talking about that we were supposed to write our own messages instead of choosing pre-messages

Wow! Then you are lucky. Many have lost these options. I had them still for a while but then all of a sudden, probably after one of the fixes it was all greyed out. New or old save does not change anything. No option to use these anymore. And it is the same for other players as well but intrestingly not for you so then it must be rather a bug actually… We had this issue already in this thread:
As for our own messages I cannot tell. Would be funny!

Or maybe it’s related to certain circumstances? On a few zois the lower option for meeting/event is greyed out sometimes, I think when it’s early in the morning or whatever, but eventually it’s available
