Hey there, thank you for sharing this bug
The various lighting issues within CAZ AND outside of it are highly discussed here in this forum already. In my case, it really makes a difference which kind of walls up / down / partially I use. For example, if I want to take pictures in my Zois’ home, I have to switch the walls to “fully shown”, so the UE5 gives me a more realistic light rendering. Did you already try this?
Hi, since this is a lighting issue, could you share a picture of the issue? A short video will do too. I think it would help us and the devs to understand what the issue is better.
If I can ask you a few questions for context, what graphics settings are you playing with? When you say last update, you mean 0.8.5?
and the video of the problem a have all the latest updates (v0.8.0) and (v0.8.6
Thank you for sharing your settings
You have a great, high-end GPU but the 16GB RAM are limiting inZOI, as far as I can say from reading through your specs and the in-game settings. The most striking difference in lighting would make switching from Screen Space GI to Lumen, I guess, but that might be too hard on the RAM
I wrote a performance guide, so you might want to read through it and check if there’s anything you can improve or increase: inZOI – Graphics & Performance Guide (revised after update v0.8.2) → You should turn “Performance Safeguard” on before fidgeting with the settings IMHO, so nothing happens to your setup
when i switch to lumen its so worse the inzoi is behind her when she walks etc.. and its not any difference with the lightning. a have had those settings before the updates and it worket so god not a problem at all. even if i lower the setting its the same
Alright, I kind of missed the video you posted, so I’ve just watched it now and it’s exactly the same as in my game. Safe to say, unfortunately that lighting issue is not happening due to any setup issues, but because of Unreal Engine 5 and how inZOI is programmed atm
Yes, I noticed this as well.
It’s still happening in my 2008 address house in the 0.9.0 Early Build as well.
okey thank you, but i think its strange that i have this problem now for some reasons and not before.. I noticed in the settings “sky update Frequency” is a option now with the new update is it a lag with that or something?
i can tur on cast shadow lightning and its run good with it but dont change the light switching problem.
And if i change the global setting to Lumen the game lag a little and a shadow is shown when the inzoi move around. Or any tips with setting if i run with lumen? or is it to hard for my RAM?
I think Lumen is too much for your RAM. Stick to Screen Space GI for now. The game will likely improve over time, so hopefully the weird lighting gets fixed one day
