I am opening this new thread because the Smart ZOI crash still occurs on my system, even after today’s v0.9.1 Hotfix. I completed all the requested tests across all maps, and the game continues to close immediately.
Here is my complete feedback:
- Steam File Verification: I verified the files via Steam before trying to use the feature again, and everything was correct.
- AMD Shader Caches: I fully cleared the contents of both DxCache and DxcCache folders as requested.
- Testing in all three maps (Bliss Bay, Cahaya, Dowon) after the v0.9.1 Hotfix:
* Bliss Bay: Loaded my save file, activated Smart ZOI while my Zoi was heading to the gym, and the game instantly crashed to the desktop. *
Cahaya: Created a brand new save with a default Zoi. After the housewarming party event ended, I activated Smart ZOI. The game instantly crashed to the desktop.
* Dowon: Created another new save file with a default Zoi. Placed them in Dowon without issues, but the moment I toggled Smart ZOI, the game closed immediately.
System Specifications: * OS: Windows 11 * CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 * GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT (16GB) * RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 Kingston/Corsair * Storage: 2TB NVMe WD Blue SN5000 / 1TB M.2 SSD Crucial E100
Since the crash occurs instantly across all three maps on brand new save files—even after clearing the shader caches and installing the latest v0.9.1 hotfix—it seems there is still an unresolved issue, possibly specific to certain hardware setups.

Bug Report Update – Post Smart Zoi Failure / Game No Longer Launches
After the June 19, 2026 update and subsequent hotfix, I experienced a progressive failure state related to Smart Zoi.
Initial behavior:
- The game launched normally after the update.
- With Smart Zoi enabled, the game would crash immediately or freeze during startup.
- With Smart Zoi disabled, the game initially worked correctly.
Failure progression:
After repeated attempts to toggle Smart Zoi:
- The game froze completely during the startup process (not during gameplay).
- After this freeze, the game state changed permanently.
Current behavior:
- Game starts via Steam.
- Initial loading phase begins (logo / optimization / startup process).
- The process terminates before reaching the main menu / lobby.
- No access to settings or gameplay is possible.
- No in-game crash reporter is shown.
- Windows Event Viewer does not show a clear inZOI application crash entry at the time of failure.
Troubleshooting already performed:
- Steam file integrity check completed successfully.
- System reboot performed.
- Local user data reset by renaming
%localappdata%\inZOI\User_data.
- Complete reinitialization of local data triggered on next launch.
- GPU drivers are up to date.
- Issue persists.
Current action:
- A full reinstallation of the game is now being performed to rule out corrupted installation or local state issues.
Key observation:
The issue started immediately after Smart Zoi activation and repeated toggling attempts. The final freeze occurred during startup (not gameplay) and appears to have caused a persistent broken initialization state, preventing the game from reaching the main menu.

I just tried to activate Smart Zoi again, I had set it to only One Zoi but the game crashes immediately. So unfortunately none of the hotfixes have helped so far.
I moved it to the “technical support” section because it’s more appropriate for dealing with game crashes.
