Game bypasses character panel when trying to start new game

    Bug report: Character Studio is bypassing the character panel and immediately opening CAZ. I get a glimpse of the character panel, but it’s gone too quick to click.

    Steps to Reproduce: New install. Created a zoi, saved. exited create. select new game. immediately entered CAZ again. Created a new zoi, saved. select new game. Character creation opens, bypassing character panel. repeated these steps several time. Always bypassing the character panel too quickly to click.
    InZoi save game folders are created in my person OneDrive
    Characters and CharacterStudio folders do not create.
    Creations folder does create. Creations>MyAppearances is where my saved Zois are. They are also in the Canvas>MyAppearances folder.
    Characters and CharacterStudio folders were manually created, but nothing is saved there.

Last saved game is “GPPLastLoggedInfo_live_6515c064f3e8484fafe2fa273a05332f_76561198709346456_1_0.sav” dated 6/26/2026

    :round_pushpin: There was no error message. I just can’t get out of the “delivery room” and into gameplay. I was in a 2-hour discussion with Co-Pilot, trying to update how Windows is saving the game. But when it started recommending changes to regedit, I declined. I only bought this computer yesterday and not monkeying about in regedit on day 2.

    I uninstalled the game. Rebooted. Reinstalled and tried again. Same results as in the initial install. I hope this can be remedied or I’ll have to ask for a refund and try again in a few months. :frowning:
