It would make a lot more sense, if badly crafted items actually look the part. Food looking burnt, a painting smudged, a sculpture damaged, etc.
I attach a screenshot of a “bad quality” painting and I cannot see anything bad about it. I know beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, but come on. The bunny ain’t bad.
This definitely needs to be improved. Painting is one area that frustrates me because even level 1 bad quality paintings look like masterpieces. They should look like doodles. Maybe we could have artisticly gifted trait that would make them look good right away, but for most people it should look like doodles in the beginning.
Yepp, that’s why I added also cooking, sculpturing etc. Basically every self-crafted item should be distinguishable. That would make a higher skill level a lot more worth it!
Thanks. I mentioned it in the original post, but it might have gone unnoticed. Of course every crafted item should have that, absolutely agree. My only immediate example I could show was painting.
But then, as the skill increases, it would be nice to see progress in the paintings too, so that from level 3, for example, they would already look like more complete sketches and paintings
