(Concept) Quick Time Events during Interactions around the maps.

One great thing we have is drawing inspiration from other genres and mixing and blending them into a recipe to create something even greater. Don’t understand? Well, I’ll do my best to explain further.

Quite frankly, this action isn’t something new for inzoi. They’ve done it before, blending a lot of amazing recipes from other genres into this game to make themselves unique and distinct. However, I think there’s one more mechanic they could blend for an even greater and more powerful experience: Quick Time Events.

Who doesn’t recall the iconic quick time event of dancing in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas? (I sure do)

You could even make one for the parks activities which we have a ton of them around the maps.

Imagine scenarios where a sudden plumbing issue arises (like we saw!), or maybe a playful interaction with a pet goes a little wild. Instead of just a passive animation, a brief QTE sequence could make these moments feel more interactive and even humorous. Think about other games that use QTEs effectively – they can add a sense of urgency or skill to otherwise mundane tasks.

We even talked about how a dancing mini-game with QTEs, similar to the one in GTA San Andreas, could be a really fun addition! It would give our Inzoi characters another way to express themselves and socialize.

Beyond QTEs, I had a few other ideas that might be cool to consider:

  • More Complex Relationship Dynamics: Deeper relationship systems with branching storylines based on interactions and choices.

  • Skill-Based Mini-Games: Beyond dancing, what about cooking challenges, gardening competitions, or even part-time job mini-games with unique mechanics?

  • Environmental Storytelling: More subtle details in the environment that hint at backstories or ongoing events in the neighborhood.

  • Customizable Events: The ability for players to maybe trigger or even slightly customize small events within their Inzoi’s lives.

What are your thoughts on incorporating QTEs into Inzoi? Are they a suitable fit for the game? Additionally, what other features would you like to see in the game? Let’s have a discussion!

Feel free to share any other QTE activities that you think could be enjoyable as well.

I would surely have fun with them!

And I am also quite sure this will be a part of inZOI in the future. Depending on our participation, the developers could see what we like and love and make it even a permanent feature!

But they should make them optional ofc for those who hate such stuff

Absolutely, Inzoi is a unique blend of open-world and life simulation games. In this game, we have the remarkable ability to control our walking using the keyboard. I firmly believe that this is a natural progression, and if implemented effectively and integrated into various activities, it could present a nuanced challenge while still being enjoyable or even providing comic relief. This approach would be an excellent way to revitalize gameplay, particularly for what is an obviously mundane task could be even fun, like imagine you are brushing your teeth and there’s a QTE in that with some fun face animations because IDK you failed a key and your Inzoi drops their toothbrush. Yeah, I strongly believe they should go this route.
