Cannot open Build Mode on a specific lot

I encountered a bug that prevents me from entering Build Mode on one specific lot.

Previously, everything worked normally. I was able to renovate the apartment and continued making changes in Build mode while playing with my houshold. At some point, when i tried to enter Build mode again, a message appeared saying that the game was exiting Build Mode (or asking me to wait while exiting Build Mode).

I managed to make that message dissappear by switching to anothe houshold and opening Build Mode there. After returning to my original houshold, the message was gone, but now Build Mode no longer opens at all.

The game itself continues to work normally:

  • I can load the houshold
  • I can play in Live Mode without any issues
  • However, when i click the Build Mode button, nothing happens. Theres no loading screen, no error message, and Build Mode never opens.
  • Build mode still works correctly on other housholds/lots. The issue only affects this specific one.
  • the lot is Dowon Villa.

I think it is also the cause of the issue with my previuos savefile, which has an infinite loading (theres also a message “exiting Build Mode” while updating the lot).

Hm, that’s a very strange bug indeed :thinking:

Can you try to move the current household out, then move them back there? Also please remove your mods for testing, because they’re known to cause troubles.

Another thing you can try is to use the in-game setting “manually update lot”. I can’t tell you where exactly this reset option is listed, but it definitely is available. This might help with lot specific issues.

Hello!

The problem is fixed now for the both savefiles (topics). The cause of that was a mod. I was thinking what i used for both buildings and removed just those, then adding them one by one I found the broken one and deleted it.

The bug has gone! Also, the lot was able to finally update on the second savefile and there is no infinite loading anymore :slight_smile:
