“Early Adolescent” 13 - 15 ---- Teens ; 16 - 20 " I hope that’s clear my friend. ![]()
Kinda has me confused, because we don’t really use that here. Teenager is basically everything that start with a “ten”. So we don’t have adolescence as an age stage here. There we have the differences in language again.
Either way, different heights for that stage would be appropriate, I agree.
Adolescent ( middle school period ) I don’t know what you would call it.
Yea we don’t split it like that here.
We have school for kids (basically primary school) from 5/6-11/12 yrs and then switch to a higher school from 12-16/18 yrs (depending on the education). Completely different system. There is no “middle” in that sense
cultural differences . ![]()
Yupp, but either way, still agree on you with this![]()
Me too ![]()
In general, to avoid getting confused with terminology, it makes sense to just specify approximate age ranges. 9-12, 12-15… This kind of division, more or less, works for correctly displaying appearance. Although rapid physical development typically starts around 13-14, that could easily be left for the 15-18 period. Otherwise the developers will be exhausted dealing with these age groups and their behavioral characteristics.
I’m curious how different people would translate the word “юноша”? In Russian it’s a fairly broad concept, ranging from “young teenager” to “young adult”.
Hooray basements, I’ve been waiting for them, thank you.
The categories in the social panel will make my life easier now
Someone said it already but please give the diving zoi’s a breathing meter.
Vacation tweaks -
For vacations, not sure if it is possible, but I would like broke zois to be able to take out loans to go on vacation too. Some zois are just living outside their means, ppl usually use a credit card in these situations.
For traveling it would be nice if it didn’t just instantly teleport me the day I make the arrangements, allow me to actually plan in advance for the trip, book it on my calendar(not sure if you had already that or not). If I don’t used instant travel, than let me need to reach the airport bus stop to board the bus before teleporting me onto the flight.
A passport would be nice, I don’t know if you are planning more map locations, but maybe my passport can get stamped as a souvenir of all the places my Zoi traveled to.
It would be nice if traveling cost more than just my rooms, for example if my over all bill just said:
-
Passport or international traveling tax one time first traveler per zoi
-
Flight ticket $500 per zoi, fly first class flight $5000
-
Hotel the way you have it looks fine
Lastly a small RNG chance to get jet lag and feel drowsy, like a 5%-10% chance. Flying first class puts you in a good mood b.c the pampering vacation started on the flight.
I know you said we should be able to invite friends on the trips, are we splitting the entire bill, or do my unplayed friends split the bill with me for the trip? Not sure if that is even possible to do.
Lastly I would like the ability to miss my flight. We can instantly travel already so this should not affect anyone except the ppl refusing to use the instant travel system. Zoi gets angry or stressed about this, friends fuss at you for making everyone miss the flight.
Human imperfections
Good job with the animation showing them falling over. It would be nice if not all Zoi’s could improve at certain skills. Some people just never learn to cook in their life ever.
Thank you for sharing more details about what you’re working on every week. I really appreciate this new way of communicating with the community because it’s interesting to follow the development of inZOI.
I actually discovered inZOI when the Cahaya update was released, after watching a YouTube video from a well-known streamer. What attracted me to the game was not only Cahaya itself, but also the feeling of freedom: being able to move around, explore the world, and experience the game in a more direct way, with a feeling of freedom that reminded me of open-world games.
Regarding Cahaya, I hope the area will be expanded and filled with even more content. I think this region has a lot of potential, and it would be great to see it develop a stronger identity with more places to explore and more things to do.
I’d also like to mention another point. Right now, the NPCs feel too similar across different cities. Seeing very similar populations everywhere reduces the feeling of traveling somewhere new and discovering a different place. It would be great if the NPCs in each city or region reflected the identity of their location more, with more variety in their appearances, outfits, and overall styles that fit the atmosphere of each place.
I’m also really looking forward to Active Mode. I think it could become one of inZOI’s strengths compared to other life simulation games. Giving players more freedom to interact with the world and our Zois could offer many more possibilities, make the gameplay feel less repetitive over time, and allow us to create more varied stories and experiences.
Regarding the jump feature, I think using the space bar for jumping would feel natural, since it is the standard key for jumping in many games. Keeping the controls intuitive would make the experience even smoother.
As for the more violent interactions, I actually think they can be a positive addition to a life simulation game. A realistic simulation should not only show the positive sides of life, but also conflicts, unexpected events, and difficult moments. These kinds of situations can make the stories we create feel more alive and memorable. Of course, I understand that not every player wants the same experience, so having an option in the game settings to enable or disable these interactions would be the best compromise. This would allow players who enjoy more freedom and unexpected situations to experience them, while also respecting those who prefer a different style of gameplay.
I’m looking forward to seeing the upcoming updates. Thank you for your hard work and for listening to the community!
I think this should be customizable. On one hand, the spacebar is very convenient when you’re controlling via WASD. On the other hand, there’s a question (we don’t know exactly what prompted you to implement the jump feature), how often might a player need to jump? If you’re preparing something like new cities where terrain will matter — cliffs, rocks, mountain trails — and all of that might require jumping and climbing, of course the spacebar would be very convenient.
On the other hand, I understand the inconvenience for those who play with families that have a large number of Zoi and are used to switching between them in exactly that way. But maybe for them, introducing key combinations like Ctrl+Space or Alt+Space could help? They don’t require such quick reaction time, and jumping definitely should be implemented with just one key press, otherwise it will be inconvenient.
I’m really looking forward to the game’s release on PS5. Could you let us know if there are any plans or ongoing work for a specific PS5 Pro optimization? It would be amazing to play in ZOl taking advantage of the PS5 Pro full power. PS5 Pro is a spectacular console, especially now with PSSR 2,0 made available by Sony. InZOl having a version that takes good advantage of all the features of this console, is certainly the incentive I need to pre-order the game.
I haven’t seen it mentioned, but I really hope the Zoi’s don’t age while on vacation like they do currently when you travel.
