Hi everyone, there’s something bothering me in the game for a while now and I wanted to mention it here. I think there might be others who are similarly bothered and have similar requests. I think there should be an option to mute the phone in the game. At least, I’d like to be able to mute messages. Because messages become a repetitive cycle after a while and get boring. Constantly receiving message notifications also gets annoying after a while because it becomes a detail I don’t care about. So, there should be options to mute the phone, mute messages, or even mute calls.

yeah I would love this & a way to reduce the overly “friendly” texts we get. I was just commenting on Reddit post earlier today that the friends who text things like “you’re the best thing that happened to me!
” annoy me to the point that I keep my zois introverts and rarely make friends for now (I think muting + cutting down the message tone/frequency are on the roadmap but until then) because of the constant cringe from what they say in these calls & texts

I had a conversation about it in a thread a while ago, but I sadly cannot find it.
We were discussing, how the messages often don’t even match together and feel like two different conversations going on, which is very weird and unnatural.
And I also agree with the personalities. There should be way more nuance or at least different options to choose from. At this point, I often reply to messages with the “…”, because my Zoi is a quiet introvert and no replies fit (I still get +relationship for that answer lol). At least give us a choice of different replies so we can make it match with what we like most.
I know this might also be off-topic, but my Zoi sometimes would get messages to meet up somewhere and it’s very often during the worktime (or even school). And when I decline, I get a relationship penalty. So instead of not declining, I just don’t reply to the invite. (An example would be the classic "come dance on Friday night). A penalty could occur if we repeatedly cancel.
So as the message system is right now, ignoring them often seems to be the better choice. Especially for our sanity that cannot take the cringy repetitions.
A mute function would help, but a refinment of the messaging system is still needed.
