Hello everyone, there’s an issue I noticed in the game that I thought was a bug. Maybe it’s not a bug, so I’ll add this post to the requests section. I had engaged Zois in the game. I created an event to set the wedding date. After creating a wedding event that would take place a few days later, a screen to move the engaged couple to the same house automatically appeared. I didn’t see a cancel option here. I had to move to the same house and did so. After confirming, the Zois got married. However, the wedding is still a few days away and the wedding event hasn’t happened yet. So they were considered married because they moved to the same house, and I didn’t like this situation. The screen for moving to the same house could have appeared on the wedding day or after the event ends. I don’t know if this was a game bug or if the game was coded this way…
Yeah it’s not a bug but I feel you. It’s something that I didn’t care for either when I first planned a wedding in game; would love an overhaul for weddings or even events in general.
For now I skip actual weddings in game by eloping and take ceremonial pictures at Themed Studio for memories/hanging pictures. I also wish we had a courthouse union option, like maybe a small cutscene or just a rabbit hole to formally bypass the whole ceremony thing if we wish.
Hey there, I moved your post to the Q&A category, because like @coya_nade said, the post-engagement system is currently designed to work that way
I totally agree that it’s not very realistic and kinda unnerving at times =(
