Yes, as for the reaction of nature to the seasons of the year, this is what is needed. I’m thinking of doing the rest as a separate DLC and naming it, for example: Expedition or Hiking. Why? Because according to the ideas described here on DLC Mermaids & Realism: The Sandbox That Doesn’t Segregate a lot of location mechanics and features will be added. And if someone doesn’t want to play it, then they just won’t have it in the game and nothing will break or be superfluous (well, you never know who doesn’t like nature and travel)
Well, to be fair, cities already change quite a bit with the seasons. In spring, the trees in Dowon, for example, have flowers, in winter the trees stand bare, in autumn they’re orange… It’s actually implemented quite beautifully here.
It’s a different matter if we’re talking about having large natural locations. Forests, lakes, jungles…
It was specifically about having wilder corners of nature where it would be interesting to just walk around or ride a bike or scooter in different seasons. And of course, all these tourist activities should be there too, but it really should be a large space where there’s something to see.
Here in Russia, we absolutely love picking mushrooms So being able to walk through a wild forest in the game, searching for porcini mushrooms or aspen boletes, would be really fun.
But that’s a very large task. I think the developers should keep something like that in mind for the future, but in the near term, unfortunately, we’re unlikely to see it
