Hello. I have this problem: when I launch the game, I get an error shown in the picture below. Because of this, I can’t enter the canvas. At the same time, all the other buttons open fine: Discord, news, connect, updates. I don’t know what to do. Please help me. (I’ve tried everything: VPN, changing my IP and DNS, goodbye dpi, nothing helped.)

Hi @PrincessFiona656_000 :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’ve moved your post to the Technical Help category so it’s easier for the team to track the issue.

Thank you very much

@PrincessFiona656_000 , can you please copy the exact error text from the image here; the forum should then auto-translate the error message in all target languages. (I do not understand the Russian text in the image) Thanks.

Full error text: “A network error occurred. Check your internet connection and try again.”

Hi,

Please add to the original post – your game version, mods used and system specs.

I’m assuming you are on Windows.

Perhaps the game executable is being blocked by a firewall. Please see if the solution from this post works for you …

Canvas (network) connection issues

If the solution from the linked topic does not work, we need more information.

  • Can you run the game without VPN? (or is VPN necessary for you to access Steam?) If VPN is used, please check whether VPN configuration is blocking network access for the files mentioned in the above linked topic.
  • Have you installed any mods? If yes, please remove all mods and try running the vanilla game without mods.
  • Try verifying the game files from Steam. (Steam Library > Right Click on Inzoi > Properties > Installed files > Verify integrity of game files).
  • Did any previous version of the game work without this network error?
  • Did you install or change settings of any firewall, antivirus programs on your machine?

PS: Steam was updated last week. So try logging out of Steam, Restart your system (restart, not shutdown), and log in again to Steam. (This forces Steam to reread its config files).

Thanks!

I don’t use mods, the game version is the latest for Windows, system specs: 16 GB RAM, i5-12400f, RTX3050, 1 TB SSD

and I tried to do what you wrote in that answer, but that didn’t help either.
And yes, everything was running for me last year when I played. I bought the game right at release and everything worked for me back then.

Does your game work?

Is it only Canvas that you cannot access from the start menu? Canvas now should be accessed from outside the game. (since v0.6 or v0.7).

The game works on its own, I can play without canvas, but I don’t want to. From the main menu I click on the canvas button, but nothing happens, it doesn’t redirect me to the browser. I can’t connect the canvas to the game because of this.

Ensure that the following files are not blocked by your firewall

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe
<SteamLibraryPath>\steamapps\common\inZOI\Engine\Binaries\Win64\EpicWebHelper.exe

You can log in to Canvas from a browser and schedule content for download. It should download when you start the game. You don’t need the game to be active when browsing and uploading or downloading from Canvas.

As you may not have run the game for a long time (since last year as you say). I recommend you backup your current saves, uninstall the game, remove the local game content from %APPDATA% and fresh reinstall the game. As follows:

  • Backup the following folders and uninstall the game completely from Steam.
  • Exit Steam.
  • Then Delete the following folders
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\BlueClient\
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\InZOI\
C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\inZOI
  • Restart the system.
  • Install the game again from Steam, and check.

Several files in the game have changed over the last year. So in case you have not been playing and updating the game regularly, a fresh install may help.

No, that didn’t help either. I did everything exactly as you wrote, but the result is the same — the error persists.

Hey! Is it just canvas that’s not working for you? When you go into mods, does Cursforge work?

The mods section opens, but I don’t have any mods. When I went to CurseForge, just a black screen appeared, and there’s not even a cursor.

Have you tried the ban along with amnesia? That’s what actually helped me.

What amnesia are you talking about? I do have a ban, but it’s an old one, and I haven’t used it in a long time. I mainly just use a VPN.

if you have a social network like VK, Insta, or TG then write me, I’ll send everything you need and instructions

let’s give it a try)

we can do it here too but I’m not sure if we can post that kind of thing here

I’m not playing right now, some things have come up and I don’t have time for gaming, so thanks for reaching out — we’ll try later.

Hello, I’ve encountered the same problem. Could you help?

Of course, I’ll free up some time in 15-20 minutes and I’ll write everything out in detail and send you the links.

thanks) I’ll be waiting
