Please consider having certain zones in the game change the preferred clothing style by default while a character is within their boundaries, unless the player actively chooses to change into something else.
My zoi came to Bliss Bay beach. I sent him to the surfboard and consecutively practiced stance and paddling. For this, he changed into swim trunks and performed the required actions. After that, I headed toward the sea with the intention to swim. I was moving via direct control (WASD). And when I was almost at the shore, zoi changed back into everyday clothes right while moving. Then, wading into the water, naturally, he changed his clothes back to swim trunks again.
It looked very unnatural. I didn’t leave the beach, I was walking in a straight path. It would be nice if the game understood that if I stay on the shoreline and for some reason put on a bathing suit—don’t forcefully change the clothes back to everyday wear until I decide to return to the city. If I suddenly want to change back into regular clothes on the beach for some reason—I can do it myself.
That is, there could be certain zones in the game (gym, pool areas, beaches…) where zois could appropriately stay in the corresponding clothing for the entire duration of their stay there, if they’ve already changed into the appropriate outfit.
Enter the beach—stay in regular clothes.
But if you’ve already started swimming there, playing in the sand, etc.—you stay in swim trunks until you leave the beach or manually change your zoi’s clothes yourself.
Maybe for that we could implement small changing booths for the beach area. When one uses it, the swimming clothes will stay on for the whole stay at the beach. Either way, I support your idea
It’s true that it’s annoying that our Zois change clothes every time. Your example is very telling, but the problem also extends to other situations where they change far too quickly, like for sports, and in many other cases.
@Kara, @Minthyuyu, yes, I agree. Something like that would be useful.
In the gym, taking a shower could serve as a reverse signal for changing clothes, for example. Or just leaving the room.
But on the beach it looked absolutely out of place: right in the middle of walking around the zone, light spirals started swirling, he ended up in clothes, waded into the water up to his chest, and “lit up” again, undressing back
Agreed. Especially when you are already in beach clothing, went for a swim, then walk a few steps to buy an icecream and suddenly, you are fully dressed again like a turbo magical girl transformation. Bro, I wasn’t done lounging at the beach
Yes. Moreover, this is suitable if you disable the automatic dressing function. Then you need a wardrobe all the time, but there simply isn’t one on the beach. I’ve already written about something similar here Let's improve the overall Zoi dressing system.
The problem with this option is that when you disable automatic outfit, it also prevents you from changing outfits. So you have to re-enable it every time you want to select a different one, which isn’t very convenient.
The idea is to use a bag that would allow you to change clothes anywhere.
But personally, I wouldn’t want the character to carry around a large suitcase with clothes. That would look very out of place in almost all cases. However, options with beach cabins, lockers in the gym, and so on look quite acceptable.
And on the uninhabited island in Cahaya, you could change clothes in the bushes where the character goes to the toilet
Omg I was just gonna post about this I agree! Also, I noticed most NPC zois wear the exact same swim wear at the beach. Female zois only wear black or green swimsuits and hats, and male zois wear red trunks. I would like it if the outfits were different and randomized, including modded swim wear.
As for the identical beach clothing - check the game settings. There’s a slider that controls its variety on NPCs. More precisely, not beach clothing specifically, but clothing in general. I think if you set it to maximum, it should also affect swimsuits.
