My impressions of Cahaya – is anyone else experiencing this?

I’ve started building a save on Cahaya with several different families, and I’ve noticed a few things that seem quite strange.

All of the houses are constantly dirty, children are being taken away or something similar seems to be happening to them, and illnesses seem to occur much more frequently. I get the impression that the increased city settings aren’t having any effect at all.

I’m also having problems with houses I’ve built on the lots there. Stairs, windows, and all kinds of other things keep disappearing, even when I place them in Build Studio.

And another thing I’ve noticed: everyone seems to be going to therapy all the time. Do they all have island fever?

At the moment, I’m playing with a Zoi in Bliss Bay, and none of these things are happening there. That’s why I’m starting to wonder whether these problems are specifically related to Cahaya.

Has anyone else noticed similar differences between Cahaya and Bliss Bay?

I haven’t noticed anything like that in my game. But I didn’t really understand the essence, even when I specifically read it in English, without translation. My family has a little crawling daughter there — and no one takes her anywhere. In the city family there’s a little boy — and he didn’t disappear either. I also didn’t notice any dirt, only once a dusty spot appeared in the attic of the house, but someone told me that I needed to clean the room below it — and it would disappear. That’s exactly what happened.

As for building elements disappearing — I can’t help you there. I don’t build anything special, because there are regularly property updates happening right now. I always agree with them to make sure I’m fixing any errors that the developers might have corrected, so all my changes get destroyed, and I decided not to create anything major until version 1.0. At most — I just change or add furniture and appliances.

And what does “everyone goes to therapy” mean? Allergies? My characters get those in all cities in spring. It’s pretty annoying, actually — I think it’s a psychosomatic phenomenon, and you shouldn’t use antihistamines, but work with the cause. For the same reason, I didn’t buy Zoe an aid kit and just waited for the allergy to go away on its own, at least after spring ended. But then I realized that wasn’t going to happen — it continued into the summer. In the end I gave up and bought an aid kit. But it’s strange that Zoe never recovers on their own. Though that’s not what this is about, but about illnesses. So — no, everything is the same in all cities, it doesn’t happen more often in Cahaya. Or I misunderstood something.

I currently have a direct comparison with Bliss Bay. I’m playing on Cahaya with exactly the same settings, and everything behaves differently there. More specifically, it feels like those settings simply aren’t taking effect on Cahaya.

And I mean, they go to psychotherapy all the time. They constantly send messages like, “I went to therapy at the hospital today.” Pretty much every day? I really hope not all of my Zois are mentally disturbed. :joy:

The houses are constantly dirty. Every time I switch to another household, the first thing I have to do is clean the entire house. By now I just cheat the houses clean on Cahaya because it’s simply getting annoying.

They also get colds and things like that much more often — noticeably more than in Bliss Bay.

And then there are my houses. I save them anyway because of the update, but houses that I continue building on Cahaya lots constantly lose interior doors, stairs, furniture, and windows when I place them again. It’s almost as if something is wrong with the lots there. I didn’t have this problem in Bliss Bay before either.

I’ve never actually seen such messages :face_with_crossed_out_eyes: Not once!

It’s possible because I have one family in each city. But if this is supposed to happen when playing one character on behalf of another that you haven’t touched for a while, then it’s never happened to me.

When I visited other families with my characters — sometimes the dishes would be unwashed for a while. But then someone would eventually get around to cleaning.

As for staircase problems, there are plenty of complaints about them. Often their placement is hindered by completely foreign objects — a platform placed as a foundation, or a gate in the fence placed too close to the house. Although how the property fence relates to the staircase inside the house is unclear, but the fact remains. This can literally “destroy” the staircase at the moment of building placement.

Honestly, I have no idea what’s going on on that island, but looking at this picture…

What’s the problem? The disco is in full swing!

:man_dancing: :woman_dancing: :maracas:

The same thing happened to me. I just agreed to a phone call about a party without really thinking about it. And suddenly in the evening I found myself at a similar wild celebration. When I picked my jaw up off the table, which had dropped in shock, I thought to check my schedule and saw that I actually did have it planned there. So everything’s fine, let’s dance! That’s what a resort is for!

Yes, those are always the moments when I really have fun with the game. That was my Zoi’s wedding party. Everyone on this island is crazy. Tourists should probably have to sign a waiver before entering, stating that they’re visiting at their own risk.

@Sephrenia , try a new game for Cahaya with the same city settings. May be the current save file has got some corruption issues like not reading the city settings.

I’m also afraid that there might be something wrong with the save file. I’ll probably start completely over again after the update. I would really like to keep my current save, but unfortunately, something just isn’t right

Save your Zois, this will save their main clothes
Save your house locally, or on canvas if you want.

The only exceptions is at the moment still not able to save newborn, toddlers or adolescent.
You can save every outfit of all your Zoi but… that clutters CAZ like no tomorrow.

Then when the update hit, add each of your zoi when creating the family, buy your lot and place your house over it (if there’s an old house on it, use the bulldoze all button then place yours).

A bit of a pain, but that’s what I did for my families.
I cannot wait until we can save a zoi and it saves all his/her clothes with that save, and also save a full familly.
Until then, it’s a lot of work.

Yes, I’ve saved all of my Zois and my houses, although unfortunately some of the houses are incomplete. There are several families involved.

Unfortunately, one of them has a very cute toddler, and right now I can’t save the toddler. I won’t rebuild the save until I can properly assign the family relationships again.

It’s going to be a lot of work to recreate the current state of the save. They own businesses, have friendships and other relationships, and a lot has happened between them. So it’s not just a matter of placing the Zois and their houses back into the world.
