I’ve always had a cafeteria. And since the update that was made to the clothing store and such, IT’S NEVER BEEN THE SAME. Before, customers would buy the food that was in stock one by one, pay, and that was it. After the clothing store update and such came around, they started buying everything at once that was on the counter (which doesn’t make sense) and they weren’t paying as they should… Well, back then it wasn’t fixed and that even made me stop playing, because it was impossible and my business was always in the red… now, I tried to play again on the save I already had and man, the business simply doesn’t work anymore… People go to the counter, look at the items, then a “check-in” of “completed” appears on the customer’s head and after that, nothing happens. Nobody buys, nobody attends and the only thing that happens is employees working and filling the counters with food that never sells… It’s absurd… I expected either to continue the same way it was before, or, once and for all for the owner Inzoi to pay attention to this. It would be very good if customers went to the counter, chose the item and then went to the purchase totem to make the payment (since you don’t need the cash register. It’s useless in this case) is it just me going through this or am I doing something wrong? Does anyone else here have a cafeteria?
It’s exactly this and they didn’t fix/change it since 0.9.0 (high school update). I even rolled back to the version before this happened and it used to be so much better. The Devs neither confirm or deny if this is a bug or intentional. It is so frustrating because it broke the whole business gameplay in that category for me. (I had a small patisserie). I think you also commented on my post there and said you would take a break until it is fixed. Yea… no fix yet for this…
YES! It was in the high school update. Yeah, I stopped and after like 2-3 months I came back. I had to make another family to start from scratch, but I won’t have a cafeteria until they fix it… Let’s wait and see… I’m already seeing a bunch of posts about bugs in the current update…
I also created a new family for the time being. I just check once in a while if the business is fixed, but other than that, that family is on ice for me… which is so sad because it was my favorite save state… Fingers crossed something will happen in the future since they keep adding new businesses (like the highclass restaurant now, which is also not really working according to bug reports). They really need to be careful about adding new things while others are still broken!
When you see the check mark on their head you have to click on them and choose the option “help with payment” despite you having set that they should buy via the kiosk without an employee.
I find the whole business gameplay too bothersome in general. I have to constantly promote the business outside the store and most people don’t want to enter. When I give an employee the task to promote only, he will not promote and instead just start baking without that being one of the tasks I give him.
I find that whole function weird to begin with. There should be an option to place someone at the cash register since it’s a requirement to have one to even open a business. Now it just stands around for nothing.
The business prior to 0.9 ran way better, but the employees do tend to ignore their tasks and do whatever, even if you didn’t assign them to do it.
You know what the worst part of it all is? Because of so many problems, I created a gym… and guess what? There’s no option for personal trainers. There’s no option in the business manager to “monitor the student during training” or something like that (at least I didn’t see one)… and so they just end up standing around, sweeping the floor. Did you like that? In fact, this really needs A LOT of attention here. And yes, there SHOULD be someone to work at the cashier… it’s absurd, it seems like the options were made by AI, because it doesn’t make any sense to not have many options that are missing in employee assignments.
Edit: oh, I didn’t mention that the way of receiving payment at the gym per /h is confusing, sometimes I receive it, sometimes I don’t… anyway, everything needs adjustment, it’s all wrong.
