Steps to Reproduce:
Let your ZOI go to sleep.
Wake them up or let them wake up.
Even an hour after waking-up they are still in their Pajamas.
I even had a zoi working on the farm in her Pajamas until like 11am (5 hours later).
I do not mind them staying in their Pajamas a bit…
But they should switch maybe an hour after waking up at least… no ?
There should be a limit, and the moment they step outside the front door of the house they should change.
They used to change back after like 15-30min, and it was enough.
Dunno what causes this bug, if it is one.
All three are still in their Pajamas here, 2 of which went outside to get mailed items.
I’m actually not sure whether the staying-in-pajamas part itself is a bug.
Personally, I prefer that my Zois don’t automatically switch to their everyday outfit shortly after waking up. I like having an actual morning routine where they can eat breakfast in pajamas, brush their teeth, shower, etc., and then I decide when they get dressed. The old automatic change after a short amount of time could sometimes feel a little abrupt to me.
There also have been wishlist posts specifically asking for this a little while ago, like this one:
I do think the situational logic could perhaps be improved, though. If a Zoi actually leaves for gardening for a while, then it makes sense to change.
But briefly stepping outside to collect the mail in pajamas honestly doesn’t seem strange to me.
So rather than bringing back a fixed timer after waking up, I’d prefer outfit changes to react more intelligently to what the Zoi is actually doing. Or have it some toggleable setting to auto change after getting up.
I remembered there was a Brainstorm about this, so I went back and checked it.
In the July 8 Brainstorm about the rebuilt outfit-changing system, Kjun actually explained that simply waking up is no longer supposed to make a Zoi immediately change out of their sleepwear. His example specifically has the Zoi waking up, doing things around the house in their pajamas, and only changing into their everyday outfit after taking a shower.
He also mentioned that the new situational system deliberately treats being at home differently in some cases so Zois aren’t constantly changing clothes unnecessarily. Here is the link:
That’s why I’m not sure that remaining in pajamas at home, even for quite a while, is a bug by itself. In my game my Zoi still changes appropriately when he actually goes to work, for example.
If there is a particular situation that should trigger an outfit change according to the new system and it doesn’t happen, that could of course be a bug. But I personally wouldn’t want a fixed timer that forces Zois into everyday clothes after being awake for X amount of time, because staying in pajamas/homewear all day while staying home is also perfectly normal.
Breaks immersion for me as it makes no sense whatsoever.
I’m fine them not changing right away, but sometimes they never change
There needs to be / should be a middle-ground to this.
At the very least they should change before noon.
I am personally against auto-changing out of pajamas when the Zoi is still at home, but as I mentioned above, a toggle to satisfy both sides could help with that.
When I relax on weekends, I am also in my pajamas/homewear all day, so it would be immersion breaking to me to just switch at a certain hour.
Hmm, in my current Dowon save, all of my zois change into their everyday outfit immediately after waking up. In my Bliss Bay save, I feel like I remember them staying in their pjs until showering. I’ll have to double check, but I think that is the case. Both of these saves were new with the Sep update, and from what I’m seeing in my saves, certain bugs only happen in certain cities.
