Unable To Launch Cahaya DLC Even Though STEAM Installed It (UPDATE)

ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED. It appears it was taking either Steam and/or the game itself to realize the new DLC was installed. For me this was some 45min to 1hr after I downloaded/installed the DLC on Steam.

For those Zoiers who’re trying to load an existing save game family, let Steam auto downlaod and update the game with the DLC, then ran into this this issue, try these:

  1. Disable mods from the game menu screen and then exit the game. This ensures you’re launching the save from an unmodded status completley clean
  2. Go into your Steam library and revalidate all the Steam files (will take a little while)
  3. Launch the game (mods are disabled right?) and load your save game. Alternatively, you can launch the game in #3 by going to the DLC Steam page and pressing “Play” button. Finally,
  4. Travel to Cahaya using your desktop PC, phone or from Map menu.

Now you should get the travel button enabled in one of the 3 options in #4 above.

Tips: before travelling, consider buying several tools (farming pitchfork, pick axe, watering cans, fish bait, fishing rod etc) if you plan on doing the Postcard event challenge. This will save you some time doing the event. Good luck Zoiers!

  • Details (Providing reproduction steps helps us): Cannot launch the new DLC aka travel to new game world using either Zoi’s phone, desktop computer, or by NEW GAME going directly from CAZ.

  • New/CAZ save: Cannot select the Cahaya game world from the household destination screen. Can only select Bliss Bay etc. The button DOES NOT highlight/activate to permit selection of Cahaya

  • Existing save: After going through the tutorial travel screens and getting to the final screen (where you pick the destination world) Cahaya travel button is GRAYED OUT. Cannot travel to new game world. Both Steam and the game says the DLC has been installed??

Reverified all the game files in Steam. The new DLC has been correctly installed in the base game

I got the same issue, even when I tried to install the game again.

I had this problem too.

First, steam is downloading and installing the Base Game Update.

When this was through, I clicked on The Cahaya DLC and on download, but it wouldn’t download the Cahaya DLC but just start the game without it.

I restarted my computer and then I was able to actually download and install the ‘Island Getaway’ DLC and everything showed up and we were able to travel to Cahaya .

I can’t move to Cahaya, It always said I didn’t purchase this DLC yet.

Along with the ‘Island Getaway’ DLC came also a basegame update.
Have you installed this update too?

I recommend to verify your game files

I have found this thread by @AdrenalineVault with some solutions, maybe it will help you:
