I’m trying to figure out how to install mods on my macbook. i noticed that in my game (screenshot 1) i don’t have the same button that i saw in a youtube video (screenshot 2).
is it because i’m on a mac, or is there another reason why the button isn’t showing up? and how can i get it?
Missing mod files:
The “Mods” option may only appear if a mods folder is detected in the game files. On Mac, the file path might be different or misconfigured, which could prevent the game from recognizing the folder.
macOS compatibility or security settings:
macOS may block certain files or unsigned extensions, which could prevent the Mods feature from loading properly.
Developer mode not enabled:
Some games require enabling a developer mode or advanced setting to access creation tools or mod support.
Yes! I haven’t included a screenshot for ease, but in the menu, there is no mods button on the left sidebar to begin with. Are you playing on windows or Mac?
I am PC but the OPs screen looked really similar to what I see.
Guess you will need to wait for a mac user to chime in. Sending you good vibes to get this resolved quickly!

ETA: Googled and it appears that Macs are completely different on how they handle Mods:
While official modding tools are available for inZOI on Mac, a dedicated “Mod” button within the game’s options menu is not visible to all users. The in-game support seems to be limited to the modding framework itself, rather than a visual, integrated mod page within the settings.
Based on user reports from the inZOI community, here is what you need to know about modding on a Mac:
Mac lacks a visible “Mods” button. Multiple users have confirmed that the “Mods” button that appears in the Windows version’s options menu is missing from the macOS version.
A different process is required. To add mods to the Mac version, you must download them from external sources (such as CurseForge) and manually install them into the appropriate game folder.
Mod support exists but differs. While the game officially supports modding on macOS, the method for adding and managing them is not integrated directly into the options screen like it is on Windows. This is a common situation for games that rely on frameworks like Nexus Mod Enabler, where a Mac version of the enabler may not exist, leaving the user to manually install mods.
It’s sure that the inZoi’s team will share an officially news about it when it will be available ! for the moment, we can just follow the different points that shanonoyouknow’s said
