Combine similar produce into a produce "bundle"

I love roleplaying by selling the produce at the selling table. The only problem is that in real life, harvestables rarily get displayed individually. One way to solve it would be to combine multiples of the same produce into a package. So multiple heart tomatoes would combine into a heart tomatoe package. We should be able to take out produce from the package at any time. It would also solve the inventory problem!

This goes along with my pet peeve of having to place items ONE AT A TIME!

Its tedious and frustrating.

And a “Freezer” for produce with a 5000 capacity that all the family can draw from to cook, freeing their inventories, maybe allow selling from said freezer directly when going to that selling vendor (add option “Sell directly from freezer”). Any harvest would go to the zoi inventory until it hits 100, then Zoi would walk to the freezer and unload autonomously, then go back to harvesting… etc.

Someone on discord suggested a “Barrel” that works the same way to store seeds, so you don’t have to trade seeds from the zoi that bought 1000 of them to each other zois you want help from with planting… ONE AT A TIME. This barrel should have 5000 storage too, consider you store those seeds on the farm.

It would help managing the farm as a family SO MUCH. It’s very annoying now, as UlteriorModem said

Just borrow everything from Farming Simulator and spare yourself the headache. Why struggle to build from scratch when these systems are already solved?
It’s stable, it works, it’s exactly the same as the thread author described: you have a filled crate (or bag), you transport it to the market, and then refill the crate at the stand.

We’re not game/UX/UI designers hired in 2025… how could we possibly do it better than the pros? Farming Simulator currently has 33,631 + 11,639 concurrent players WOW! (inZOI — 3,299), it’s clear which experience has earned user trust.

These are the kinds of containers I use in real life to collect mushrooms (honey fungus), for example.

We use this type of crates for storing onions, tomatoes, beets, and potatoes (my mom has been an experienced gardener her whole life — these are most recent photos.)

Vegetable Storage Type Shelf Life Temperature Range Storage
Onion Ventilated crate or sack 6-8 Month 0–3 °C Cellar, pantry, balcony, refrigeration not required
Tomato Single-layer crate only, avoid stacking 2-3 Weeks, Max - 1,5-2 Month 10–15 °C Cool room, shaded shelf, refrigeration not recommended
Beetroot Deep ventilated crate or sack 5-6 Month 0–2 °C Cellar, insulated balcony, refrigeration not required
Potato Covered crate or burlap sack 4-6 Month 4–6 °C Dark cellar, cool pantry, lower temperatures cause sweetness – refrigerators are too cold and dry

I truly support this idea! It makes much more sense :custom_heart:
