Texture loads in the wrong project if you don't close the modkit everytime you needs to swtich projects

  • Game Version: v0.3.6

  • Platform: (Steam windows )

  • Mods: (Not applicable)

  • Hardware Specifications & Operating System Windows 11, CPU: 11lth Gen i7-11700F 2,5GHz, GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB.

  • Steps to Reproduce: Open modkit, create a new project named A, load textures through the file importer. Then create a new project named B. Right click on B and load textures through the files importer: files will appear inside of A’s texture folder instead of B’s.

  • Details:
:round_pushpin: When making mods from empty project in the modkit, there is a bug where after finishing a project you have to close the modkit and open it again, otherwise all the files you import through the file importer ¡are imported intro the previous project your were working in, even though you are right-clicking on the new project. This happens every time without a fault.

  • Just wanted to put it here in case there can be a fix in the next modkit hotfix, because it truly makes the workflow to make cc a bit hellish.

Hi @itsmechiie7, We tried to reproduce the issue but weren’t able to.

Sorry for the extra trouble, but could you please share a video showing the issue occurring from the very beginning to the end of the mod creation process, along with the image file(s) you intended to attach?

Having these will greatly help us check and work on improvements.

Sure! Let me make the video and I will upload it soon, no problem, thanks for looking into it

Hi there @AR_Noah here is the video. As you can see, what I do in the video is I create a project named MC_BlueskyWinter, load its textures through the resource input tool, the create another project named FC_BlueskyWinter, load its textures through the resource input tool BUT they load inside the first project.

This does not occur only with these two projects, (I just used them as an example since I was working on them anyway). It happens every time I am working on a project and switch to a different one. The only way to make the textures load into the correct project is to close the modkit and open it again, then go to the desired project directly.

Note: I know the names of these projects are similar because they are the female and male version of the same outfit, but it happens with projects that have completely different names too.

I can upload the textures I used in this video if you guys need it, but it happens everytime, with every project, it’s not just these textures but please let me know if you need anything.

I know this is not prioritary so thank you for looking into it so quickly! Being able to switch projects without having to close and open the modkit again would make the modding workflow a piece of cake
