More of a joke post, but i wish it was real. Know how psycat is our god? Well, I wish they could expand this into a full blown religious system with stories, lore and the ability to worship psycat by praying at the the temple to the cat gods, burning catnip and leaving tuna offerings

There is the Miatara Temple on the Resort Island at Cahaya, where you can make offerings, pray and burn incense.
You can also interact with the temple cats 
You can buy the offerings at the stand in front of the temple
There is also a wish tree and you can draw fortune sticks

Oh my god, the cat statue is adorable. Fluffy kitty! Tie this to a secret benevolent order that worships Bastet, the Egyptian goddess of cats (and protector of the harvest, iirc?) and it’s perfect.
My mom likes cats and I’d love to have one, but sadly she’s allergic to them and sneezes constantly around them so we could only ever own one of the hypoallergenic Sphynx cats (hairless breed) which are, admittedly, a hard sell because they look “ugly”. I get they’re no less affectionate, but that’s exactly why I wouldn’t want to bring a cat into our home if there would be a sense of rejection;
The best part about cats is that they’re much nicer than people give them credit for. A dog sees you as a sibling or parent, yes. A cat, if it likes you, sees you as its’ giant kitten and will try to protect you. I’d want a cat to feel welcome in our home by everyone.

Honestly, if you really want a cat, just get a sphynx one. By day 2 you’ll fall in love with their hairless butts. Cats shouldnt be picked based on looks but their personalities. Never saw myself as a black cat owner, but its been 9 years and i would absolutely kill anybody who wishes him harm and my wallet gets drained on cat toys. Had he been a hairless sphynx cat, wouldve been just the same

I laughed so much at the “Leave Tuna offerings”, I love the idea! The cat statues at Cahaya are incredibly beautiful and the interactions at the temple I wished we could have them in all the worlds in their own form and temples. The whole lore with Psycat and Nyx is great, and I think there’s a third one called Cupid?
If any of you want to check, me and @Moooody kind of brainstormed a religion DLC based on the Karma system, it’s not that much cat centered because we want to avoid theism, but hey, Cats make for really cute Gods, so who knows, it’s never a bad addition
