Holiday Updates rather sooner and less extensive

My wish for upcoming updates with content for the holidays (especially for next Winterfest :christmas_tree: ) is they rather come with less features but therefore earlier.

And I wish the Devs would get the core of the update ready first, and if there still is time, only then put the focus on lesser wanted/urgent features.

Important fixes/updates that are not ready yet could be delivered through hotfixes after the holidays.

For example there is so much content for the Halloween Update, like the ghost fish or the FX, not many players really need for Halloween (rn).
I am super excited for both, but I could have waited if I only had the chance to prepare better for the core of Halloween itself.
I will not be able to grow the pumpkins in time, for example.
And I would have wanted to have more time for decorating and ‘get in the mood’ :psycat_paw:

I won’t play with the Halloween content after October, 31 and one and a half day Halloween is just not enough for me :psycat_sad:
I’m already dreading the December update. I fear it drops in the late second half of December and that will be sad/stressful for me. I would want to have a bit of Winterfest time with each of my households.

Now the already late October update got postponed and we’ve seen in the youtube videos of the content creators with early access to the update there are still many bugs (like buggy massaging on the sofa or sitting in the car) that imo could have been avoided if the team had focussed on the core of the update instead of adding lots of side features.

Kjun said they only had less than two months time to develop the October Update and that’s a lot of pressure for the team. And I understand they want to make everyone happy, but that’s just not possible and makes others unhappy.

I agree. The Halloween content is extensive. But it looks like there was one person who really got into making this content and went 100%.

Some of it will be great going forward, though. With the fires, smoke and other effects, I’m thinking of trying to form a cult. Also, in the UK we have bonfire night, so we can celebrate that with the scarecrows, fires and lights.

The candles and cobwebs can be used for Gothic play. Also, apparently, there’s the storyline with the librarian that could feed into that. We just need more clothing and other items for full immersion.

I’m assuming that this is part of the learning curve for the devs. They’re trying to balance what everyone wants with fixing bugs and developing the game according to their vision.

Totally agree with this. Putting aside the fact I am not really that bothered about Halloween so its not a feature I was excited to see , its going to be out of date in just over 24 hours and group meals and yet still are missing
