  • As you can see after the update my Inzoi cannot go up the stairs anymore. I tried it with and without mods installed, nothing is uncompatible. One day the can use it normally, and the other is just unsusable. Nothing is blocking their paths or anything. As i said i used this house before and there were no problems.

It’s still happening after it’s filed under ‘resolved’ in the Known Issues list.

it’s so weird that the bug never happened to me and when it’s solved, is when it started to happen :smiling_face_with_tear:

Yesterday I was playing in a house of my own construction in Bliss Bay. The stairs always worked.

The mods from the first 5 screenshots were enabled. I enabled the first mod from the last screenshot (Wrinkled dress) and, when I re-entered the game, it didn’t work, meaning it was not possible to go up to the upper floor.

I disabled all the mods but the problem persisted, so I deleted and rebuilt the stairs.

Today, playing with another house (mods always disabled) the same thing happened.

This bug had been solved and came back a while ago too. Check out this thread. It’d be best to merge these two threads together.

This should be it, because then I deleted and rebuilt the stairs.

The lots where the problem occurred are Beachfront Drive 8 and Palm Tree Avenue at Bliss Bay

  • Steps to Reproduce:

    • Build U shaped stairs on top of a foundation/floor. Move your zoi to go upstairs via the U shaped stairs, it says “You cannot move here”. I haven’t tried another shape yet.

From what I’ve read, it sounds exactly like this bug which was reported previously and needs more info: Unusable Stairs → can someone from the team please merge them?

I hope this issue get addressed soon. I havent’t been playing the game since the previous update (before the v0.8.0 update).

I just found out that this only happened if you build a stairs of any shape other than straight normal one and you use/build foundation to your house.

Any idea when this issue will be addressed?

It’s been listed as “needs info” a while ago and the info was provided through shared save files, so I assume the devs are already working hard to find a solution :slightly_smiling_face:

I had a guy message me on one of my Canvas creation stating that stairs on my creation weren’t working

So I went in a fresh new game, and put the house in the appropriate lot (Air Asri in Cahaya)
Was able to walk up and down the stairs multiple times.
So I saved my game and went back to lobby and reloaded it… It still worked.

Either it’s a random bug (stair corruption bug?), or some mods might be causing it.
Or the player modified the layout by putting new items near/under stairs or maybe tried moving/adding new walls which sometimes cause issues.

Point is, I was not able to reproduce on my side.
If anyone want to download the build and place it down to confirm, that would be appreciated.

I hope this bug is found and fixed. Had the issue myself in 0.4.0 without mods even.

Yeah, i was able to create a U shape stairs on a new save game. But still couldn’t figure out why on my saved property i cannot use this stairs. Tried to delete the surrounding objects, but still it said i “cannot place the stairs”, even a new one.

I managed to solved the issue on my old save game. It seems the stairs were unusable because of some plants were overlapping the wall where the stairs is placed (though i’m not quite sure). I’ve deleted the overlapping ones and place the stairs again it works fine now.
