I cannot place anything on platforms over stairways

As shown in the screenshot, I can’t place any furniture on a platform if there’s a staircase directly below it—only walls and railings are allowed. The area outlined with the glass railing marks the footprint of the staircase on the lower floor. What’s worse, the game doesn’t display any reason for the placement failure in that space, so it took me quite a while to figure out why I couldn’t build there.

I also encountered this issue as shown in the image below.

Objects can be placed in areas without stairs to the lower floor, but

As shown in the image below, installation is not possible in areas with stairs leading to the lower floor.

To address this issue, players can place objects on upper floors by implementing the following workaround.

1. To confirm the staircase’s destination, the floor of the construction site and the ceiling of the lower level have their textures changed to glass to ensure visibility.

2. Enclose the construction site with walls to create a room preset, then place items in a different location to complete it.

3. Can avoid the issue by copying and pasting the completed room into the construction site while in the room selection tool.
