  Hello! Okay: I am a short-story-long kind of person so bare with me.

  I had just restarted my Bliss Bay game two days ago, in the same day I created 5 new Zoi’s in one household. (the sailor scouts if your curious). Yesterday came the time where I build Usagi Tsukino’s family home, which I had to make a three story home to fit all the girls. Here comes the prerequisites to my problem:

  I was almost done with the home. Legitimately, I had all but a few empty rooms; so I wrapped up my checklist and decided to put a pin in it since I’d been working on this project for almost 10 hours. I left build mode, and grabbed Usagi to make sure she can still tread freely in her new domain. I found a hang up, she couldn’t get past the front door, I realized it was the flooring in the entryway. The house foundation was lifted, giving a more true to the Anime look to the home; i knew that this could put an end to all my hard work. Like soak my hard work with gasoline and light it on fire kind of end.

  Staircases have been my biggest enemy since I started the game almost a year ago. I’ve watched videos multiple times trying to learn the boundaries to staircases, and the best order of operations when adding them to a home. I fear that staircase rules may just be everchanging? I am unsure, but I lifted the entryway flooring, just one notch (after praying the Inzoi Gods and developers of course). Both staircases left from outside of the house. The staircase leading to the front porch left, and so did the staircase in the entryway first floor. the staircase on the second floor, leading to the third floor stayed in place, so that’s good at least. However my heart still broke. I knew this was where all my hard work went down the drain, because neither staircase will go back to their assigned spot in their home. I’ve moved everything I can think of out of the way, no luck. I restarted the game (and my computer for good measure). I’m defeated officially. I cannot tell if this a bug, or if I somehow ruined everything, and will have to start all over again. If anyone has any guidance on this issue, I would love to know. I have very few mods. I have a custom computer that I have placed in a few of the bedrooms upstairs, and light up floating shelves, none of which are anywhere near either staircase. I even removed everything that it said was in the way on the second story.

Is this a bug? or is this user error that haven’t seemed to learn from yet? I’m so exhausted with fighting these staircases, and I just want to friends with them. I don’t want to use elevators anymore when I’ve given up. Staircase Bug Forum Post by Soapy

I’m having troubles too, staircases are a nightmare.
Some staircases I’ve placed have been deleted by the game when reloading the save, on some platforms I can’t place stairs at all even though there is more than enough space.
They are also much too large for normal sized and smaller houses so I have to place ladders instead.
Or I teleport my Zois. Like for that one house that has a staircase but I can’t access it from groundfloor (the stories in between work just fine -.-)

To help us investigate the issue, please compress the entire folder including all files related to the affected save and upload it as one .zip file.

1. If there is only one save file

   • Right-click the folder of the affected save and select “Compress the folder”

     

2. If there are multiple save files

   • Select all affected save folders, right-click, and choose “Compress the folder” to create a single .zip file.

Hey thank you for the reply, I’ll look a little closer at the instructions you just provided for sharing the save file. I was able to make them work after some more time messing with them more, but I had to move a ton of things around and compromise the initial vision I had (walls primarily and the floor height) to make the stairs reseat again.

I thought I’d add an observation I recently discovered: upon first selecting and placing the staircase from the home building menu, and then building around it over time. (this includes moving and adding walls, moving and adding furniture, and ofc moving the flooring which is a given). If I decide that I need to move the staircase, and place it in a slightly new area than when I first placed it, the clearance changes. The staircase becomes a much larger clearance distance than before.

This is the save file, I took a short video to send it through the help center along with this save file, but it wasn’t uploading, and it’s saying its too big for the forum too. I’m hoping this save file works well to show the problem I’m having without the video.
