Yes, it’s part of the resort treasure hunt which is only active on Wednesdays. You can enter it by purchasing a ticket at one of the kiosks in the spa. There are several of these chests on the resort island (plus some special ones with different rewards) and each one gives you a small gold bar which is worthless in itself, but once you have ten of them, you can exchange them for resort coins at the spa kiosk. You can then use the resort coins to purchase rewards.
Be warned, however: the total resort coins gained from exchanging the 10 gold bars is the same amount it takes to enter the treasure hunt in the first place (or at least it was when I played). I think this must be a mistake, but as far as I know it hasn’t been changed yet, so the only things you gain overall are the extra rewards from the ‘special’ chests you find. IMO it’s not worth it given the amount of time I had to spend chasing down all the chests.
If you’re interested, here’s a thread I made describing all the problems with the treasure hunt. Someone should probably re-test to see if it still has the same issues… but that someone is not going to be me
You should try the resort. My zois loved it, they really couldn’t get enough. They did everything: the slide, massage, sauna, eating by the pool, the outdoor screen. They were so happy that it put me in a good mood. It was as if I’d been on holiday, which is why I love Cahaya so much.
I had exactly the same reaction to the Treasure Hunt. Yes, I suppose the rewards could improved in the future but I suspect it’s going stay as “disappointing” for the foreseeable future.
Even the “special” gummy bears you get from the two pirate-style chests were underwhelming. They did nothing when my Zoi ate one. I was expecting at least a boost to one of their motives or something – anything – but zippo.
The gummy bears give your Zoi a random emotion if I remember correctly. So if that happened to be the same emotion your Zoi had already, you might not notice anything.
