Teens/Adolescents should not be the same height as Young adults+. Or if Teens should be, at least change adolescents. It is really weird trying to make friends as an adult and seeing that you are talking to a child…

Suggested many, many times. I totally agree.
Adolescents should be half-sized between child and adult.
Just rescaling them (and all their clothes) would be perfect, no need to re-invent the wheel.
As for teens, many as as tall as their parents so it does not matter that much to me to be honest.
But Adolescent? absolutely.

imo this is something they need to focus on early otherwise its going to be a lot of work to add later. it requires new animations, making sure all interactions work right. adding them is basically like having child sims that have all their own animations and such.

I asked that too. Adolescent are too tall and look too grown-up.

sims 3 had this nice feature called animation interpolation. it meant that it would try to recalculate certain bones so they sat right. so when i adjust my sim in height, when they sit down the game auto corrects the height. they sit normally on the chair (for -256 anyways, you can obviusly go way out of bounds with this too). this also meant that your sim interacting with objects was also automatically corrected - a shorter sim still picks up the gardening container fine, or any other object. now try the same in sims 4 where there is no interpolation, so all the anims are static. your shortened sim will sink into the seat they sit on, the object they hold is offset by the exact amount they are shortened by. that sucks!
