Hey Team,
It’s been a while since my last post, and it’s great to be back, but this time as an active player. I’ll be able to provide more productive feedback based on my actual gameplay experience, rather than just watching others play. It was a tough time back then, as we didn’t have M1 support, but that’s a thing of the past now. Haha!
M1 Support It’s here and is an amazing start.
First, the M1 support is amazing because this opens the door to a new set of Macs that weren’t able to play the game before, and these enhancements cater to lower-end Macs. It can also be a teaching moment for the future, so try to see it from that perspective.
Currently, by the look of it, it’s a feature-complete experience, including SmartZoi (not recommended), but it’s there if you want to try it with some limitations like a queue of 4 and etc. and only on my Zoi. It does the job, but I think that if the game were to get further enhanced in performance, perhaps a future where it’s fully optimized and SmartZoi can exist on lower-end models. I’m not a dev, but it’s more of wishful thinking on my part.
Perfomance Boost!
We need more performance enhancements for lower-end Macs or additional settings toggles to improve our experience on these models.
Currently, there’s ghosting on the Zoi primarily using MetalFX.
On both Quality Mode and Performance
On Quality Mode, it’s less noticeable, but it’s there.
On Performance, which is the mode you are seeing the screenshots below, the ghosting is very noticeable, and it’s there to stay because I tried other configurations along with the performance mode to see if it would go away, but it doesn’t. With that said, I think the goal will always be a point where none of that happens.
Photo Mode Enhancements.
A neat QOL would be adding the option of showing exterior walls (Home, End) toggle as shown on the screenshots below into the Photo Mode menu bar and in general any other option that empowers us to modify our environment to get the perfect shot.
Last but not least, we need color grading, custom filters, and image adjustment settings. Couple that with the ability to save those settings as presets would be great.

Yeah we need this tool on macOS.
Anyway, it’s wonderful to be back contributing, but I’ll stop with my suggestions for now (hehe).
