This only happened to my Zois while performing any of the writing exercises from the bookshelves:
(I’ll check if it happens with the two objects you’ve shown photos of.)
I tried it in my save file and I can confirm that it definitely depends on the object:
As you can see in the pics above, both objects seem to make anything placed on them glitch / hover a bit above the surface.
The same decorative item didn’t hover when placed on this coffee table for example.
I know that this is often done for “standardizing,” so they don’t need to worry about clipping issues over a range of surfaces that items are meant to rest on, but I feel like they could be a little lower for tables, assuming this isn’t completely unintentional.
