Can you help me test the light brightness plz?

In my game, the lights are still bright even though I set the brightness to zero.
Even if I create a new save.
How does it look in your game?

The setup is easy and quick and I’d really appreaciate your help :psycat_paw:

I just built a long room with the first ceiling light in build mode, the ‘Large Circle Fluorescent Light’
(I have this happen with all the lights, but just to test under the same conditions)
Then I set the brightness to 0 (zero)
(This is the same for me in all worlds and on all lots, here I am in Bliss Bay, Sunshine Avenue 5151)

When I move the camera in the room, the light is still bright.
Does this happen in your game too?
I turned the slider to ‘Night’ to make it more visible

It’s the same in live mode when it’s dark outside

I tested it in my game and it looks exactly as your pics. I took some to show the similarities.

In the third pic (due to the highest ceiling possible) there’s a slight change in brightness toward the floor. I think the main issue with the lighting in the game in general is that the engine renders it differently depending on whether the room is shown with or without the ceiling. When the ceiling is visible from our POV, it kind of “traps” the light inside of the room, giving off the impression that it’s brighter.

Thank you so much!
These are also with brightness zero?

I already reported this a while ago and I wonder why the team is unable to reproduce it?

Yes, I set both lamps’ brightness to zero. I’ll go to your OG post, share my pics and send them my save file and DxDiag, then they might be able to reproduce it. Shouldn’t be that difficult because, as far as I remember, this has been an issue since release.
