It would be nice if the lamps illuminated the entire room. If I build a gallery and hang the lamps under the roof, no matter how low they are, they won’t illuminate the lower floor. It would be nice if the long hanging lamps could illuminate all the way down.
100 % agreed!
It would be awesome if we could set a certain level of illumination and light color for the whole room. Irl the light also gets reflected from walls/floors/furniture etc.
Which doesn’t happen i inZOI.
In inZOI rooms, the lights behave more like spotlights that illuminate a certain area and leave the rest significantly darker. There is much too much contrast.
Pic below:
Left side: The cat lamp does not light the parts of Noxee’s face properly, (the chin and neck) even though it’s standing right next to her.
(Ingame desk lamps are in general less powerful than ceiling lamps.)
And on the right side, the shadow on Vlad’s face is much too dark.
The reflection of the lights in the window shows how bright they are, they (and their reflections from walls/floor/objects) should illuminate the full room and the contrast shadows shouldn’t be that dark.
And here, Ji Ho (left) is brightly illuminated, Jack and Leonard not.
And the back of the room is totally dark.
It’s bright day, the sun is even shining in, and there are windows on all four sides of the room plus the lights on, the room shouldn’t be that dark.
I recognise those guys…!
Agreed, that room does look crazy dark considering the amount of windows and daylight. This is something I notice in some buildings more than others - in general the places I am playing currently have decent light-levels so I am not sure what governs this.
(One of my households is in Dowon Heights penthouse, the other in a custom built farm in Cahaya).
I have noticed that lamps do not seem to shed light entirely realistically in game, and that shadows seem too dark, especially near ceilings, which is odd around ceiling lights.
