Hello. Every self‑respecting open‑world sandbox game has immersion‑enhancing features that correspond to the trends and demands of its time, ranging from a modern smartphone and social to diverse locations and gameplay scenarios designed to immerse players in the world and its characters.
InZOI started with something similar, but somehow lost parts of it along the way (Bubbly rumors, trends, selfies and so on), even though it had promised this in its USP. As mentioned in the interview for Gamerant, Mar 16, 2025:
A: This full community simulation allows for the natural occurrence of various events – including rumors, trends, and illnesses – influencing social interactions and relationships. As these events unfold and create a ripple effect, they shape a dynamic, unpredictable narrative and ensure that each playthrough offers new storylines and evolving relationships for a richer simulation experience.
But later these options were reduced to just “someday”.
Some of you even proposed expanding the “Bubbly” social network, adding dating apps, and screening real movies in theaters
— I’d love to make that happen someday!
Bubbly
What Bubbly looked like in pre‑v0.3 builds:
My first concept like a social network similar to the one in Cities: Skylines 2:
And the most interesting implementation for modern sandboxes in Ananta:
Bubbly Social Network
• Use the camera in the Bubbly app to take a photo or record video and post it to the social network feed.
• Expand the app to view the feed with recent media content.
• Use the tabs to manage Recommended, Subscriptions/Following, Circles, likes, and comments.
Dating App
Here, Lovelink is undoubtedly an excellent reference, with profiles, swipes, matches, text and photo chats, and a progress bar that shows how the relationship is going.
Date Spots
Yes, we’ve already mentioned restaurants, cinemas, clubs, ferris wheel, embankment – the list is huge. In Persona 5 as well, there are plenty of places where you can go on a date with Ann Takamaki, even the underground shopping mall.
IMO, these things are perfectly suited for a life simulators and for most players with high replayability and should be the top priority.
