Camera icon in front of the christmas tree is visible when UI is hidden

It’s so annoying when I want to take proper photos -.-

It’s even visible in the loading screen so the team is aware of it.
(It’s not visible in Photo Mode, but the devs seem to avoid it too because the quality is so bad. . .)

Yes. I noticed that too.

(no mods/ fully updated/ save situation: fresh after moving from Cahaya (and before from Dowon))

We’re currently at Liberty Square in Bliss Bay and the Fountain ‘grid’ is visible in live mode

Also when I hide the UI and in photo mode

There is no water coming up though, maybe because it’s too cold?

All this just for a single option. But it could’ve been presented more artistically in the environment, or at least with a proper gizmo for fountain interactions, something like click on the watertoss coin.

  1. Press U hotkey.
  2. While the HUD and 2D space UI, including the old-new Cat’s Eye, are hidden, the 3D space icons for joint/group actions, the photo spot, the bus spot, etc. still remain visible on the screen.
(as I understand it, the problem is specifically with scalable sprites in 3D space).

Oh my how annoying this is since I hide the UI because photo mode is such a bad quality and the objects they hold vanish -.-

Also these hearts from the preferences still show up, the annoying music note things
(They all show up when I hide the UI, I just don’t have other screenshots available)

And these fountain things in Bliss Bay

Yes, the half-hidden UI stuff is done quite half-heartedly. They should definitely improve that.

BTW, @LennyOgg they changed the recent photomode, so now most of the things your zois are holding remain visible, just in case you wanna try it again.

The problem with Photo Mode is that it currently saves partial screen captures at non‑standard resolutions (whereas it would make more sense to upscale the render for photos, as Unreal can do with the HighResShot command, e.g. HighResShot 3840x2160). In addition, with reduced in-game brightness, the Photo Mode viewport looks way too dark.

Hi everyone (@here),
Since the issues you reported — certain icons still appearing even when the UI is hidden — are similar to an existing report, I’ve merged your posts into the existing thread.

We’re currently looking into the issue, and we’ll share any updates in that thread as soon as we have them.

How am I supposed to take photos? Kjun promised already months ago to declutter the UI
