Details: From December 2025 Update to present. After the December update the makeup presets are not working as intended. When you select a new makeup preset. It doesn’t only change the makeup up but it also changes the eye color, eyebrow shape, and removes the eyelashes.
The first picture I attached is to show how my zoi looks before I applied a makeup presets. The other pictures are to prove how after I applied a makeup preset how her grey eyes changed to brown, her thin eyebrows changed to some random bushy eyebrows and her eyelashes were removed.
This is happening to me too, even when I use a makeup preset that I created and saved on the same face I want to put it on.
Let me explain. I have a zoi and I worked on a makeover for her in CAZ. I used her zoi preset and saved the makeup preset.
When I wanted her to apply the new make up, it turned her eyes brown, even though the zoi preset the makeup preset was created on is the same zoi as the in-game zoi I wanted to give the makeover to.
EDIT: I don’t know if it is doing the same for eyebrows and eye lashes as you reported, but I will check.
For me, it changes the eyes to the first eye option (the brown eye that is in the top left of the eye options), the eyebrows change to the first eyebrow option, and eye lashes are changed to style 7 every time—for females.

As mentioned in the v0.5.0 patch notes, the scope of makeup presets has been expanded in this update — they now include lenses, eyelashes, and eyebrows as well.
Who is working on this game? Respectfully this is the dumber decision ever. Why they insist on “fixing” things that are not broken and working perfectly fine. Now I cannot download make up presets because it will change the color of the eyes which sometimes I spend a lot of time customizing and I usually never remember what setting did I use as well as the shape of the eyebrows. This new update has left the game completely broken. I’m losing ALL hopes it will get better if the devs keep making dumb decisions like this. My most sincere apologies if I been rude. But I’m very upset right now. Anyways I created a wishlist and I hope enough people supported so we can have the feature reverse back to his original form that was working perfectly fine.
As much as I dislike the answer (I have no use for a preset that changes genetics, thanks!) I have to ask you this:
It was actually your intention that the eye colour would always change to eye option 1 colour brown, and eyelashes number 7 (or 2 for men)???
Why shouldn’t it save the eye colour and eye lashes of the zoi whose makeup preset is being saved???
My blue eyed zoi above had her new makeup preset created on her zoi preset, so it should’ve kept everything the same. So I don’t think this is working as intended.
Working as intended would mean
the eye colour of the original zoi would be saved with the makeup preset
the eyelash style of the original zoi would be saved with the makeup preset
Makeup presets were working prior to the December 23rd update, but I don’t recall anything about makeup presets in Known Issues. I don’t think anyone but the devs could possibly think this is a useful feature!
I will NEVER USE this or the stupid style preset. You guys are making mistakes with this! I’ll hold back my opinion other than to say you’ve added two completely useless features to the game. You ought to just remove them because I doubt people will want to use something so completely different than what they expected.
I urge you to reconsider this!
Why add useless features? Better to fix useless features to be… useful? Maybe???
I’ll post in the Wishlist that I Wish you guys would actually THINK about what the player will do with something like this.
I’m furious that the devs would ever think this would be useful. Plus, switching to the same eye and eyelash style is obviously a bug, yet mr AR guy just say, “NAH, working as intended” So I guess brown eyes number one and eyelashes number 7 (or 2 for men) was just the most popular, most awesome got-to-have-it look of the entire game’s history that they made sure we can all have an super short cut to the uber look of inZOI.
I wish the mods here wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss obvious bugs as ‘intended behaviour’ (remember the whole thing with the eating animation)? ‘Bugs’ can include features that are clearly not working correctly, even if they were added/changed deliberately by the devs. Please just think about it for a second and you’ll see there is no reason at all why a makeup preset should change eye colour (or eyebrows or any of those other things which are not part of the makeup section). This is an active issue which needs to be addressed.
Absolutely! @AR_Owen says it’s working as intended even after I pointed out that it changes the eyes and eyelashes to the first eye option (colour brown) and eyelashes 7 for women and 2 for men. I am not sure what’s up with eyebrows at all.
But I wrote about that, I doubt AR person even read my post. Was just like, “Oh it says this on the patch notes. So nothing is wrong here.”
My (somewhat cynical) assumption is that someone accidentally changed the makeup presets so that they revert eye colour etc. to one of the defaults, and rather than actually fix the problem, they wrote it into the patch notes as “haha yes guys, this is totally a feature”. Like, it’s not the end of the world and will probably be quietly fixed in the next patch, but come on.
