I agree the feature is useless if it changes the zoi completely! I believe they misunderstood what we wanted. Style preset should only affect makeup, outfit, hair and accessories. And the fact it is per category should mean we can have different hairstyles and makeup look for each category (in addition to different outfits). I really hope they rework the feature

I don’t think this is a bug, I think they made it this way intentionally, to avoid this we have to save the outfit and makeup then revert back to the zoi and only add those two features.

but its more work for no reason. The feasture we all asked for was to be able to style our zois hair and makeup differently per category but this is overkill if it changes the face and skin color as well

I know but as this game is still far from complete we have to do a lot of workarounds and still can’t make everything right

very true but hopefully it does get addressed so we no longer need to work around it

This is happening to me too. It’s such a weird thing for presets to change any genetics at all.

I’m sure you’re correct. They must’ve misunderstood, although I thought the posts I read where people requested individual styles per category were very straightforward.

At this moment, the only thing it’s actually useful for is if you’re making a video about a criminal zoi who is a “master of disguises” and changes their entire appearance. I know the police would still catch the zoi if they failed whatever they were trying to do, but wearing a style preset as a disguise in a fictional story (with screenshots or video) is really the only use this feature has.

I always wondered why outfit uploads included the skin tone of the zoi wearing the outfit when you upload it. It’s always been that way and it made no sense to me. I think genetic information has been linked with different types of presets since the preset feature was added, except the game ignored that information until now.

I hope they’ll separate genetic information from unrelated presets (outfit, makeup, and style) because even if the game is made to ignore the unnecessary data, it’s probably still causing unnecessary bloat. For example, if you use an outfit preset, is that original skin tone data still hidden in the data of the outfit when a different zoi puts on the outfit?

Completely agree! In its current state this feature is useless and is not what it shoud be.

Although I believe this how they intended the feature to work, it’s truly not what most people would expect a style preset to do and I do believe they should change it. It doesn’t really make sense, the way it works right now.

Yes I found the skin color changing to be odd. Skin color isn’t a style.

Yes, unfortunately it’s not actually a bug, they did it on purpose. But I hope our opinions can be taken into consideration :mending_heart:

Since many users agreed, that this isn’t a bug but intended to work this way, I moved the post to the Wishlist category =)

The style presets are quite useless to my playstyle atm, because they simply make styling various outfits more work than it has to be. Totally agree with all of you - this should get changed

But there also a bug when you applied a style preset all your other custom outfits will reset to random outfits. I think nobody has noticed that bug because the style preset is currently unusable. But on my last gameplay I applied a style preset and my Zois custom outfit reset to random ones in ALL categories. Was that also intended or Do I need to create a different bug report to address that bug?

I think it would be better to create a separate bug report for this reset issue. This thread’s focus seems to be on the not user friendly style presets in general. You can copy your specs from the form above though, that makes it easier to fill out the report for the other bug

Because these presets change genetics, they’re completely useless. I can’t imagine a situation where this would be useful. Well, maybe if you were making some fantasy character and needed to apply similar genetic traits to all characters of that species. Or if you want to make very similar siblings.

It’s the same with makeup, it changes eyes and eyebrows. Because of this, I can’t use style and makeup presets

I feel like the Style Presets are entirely redundant and useless and would be better off removed from the game. I have been begging for an option to save all outfits to Zoi Presets instead of just Everyday/Daily and when we got this I was extremely disappointed.

I didn’t know about this bug :smiling_face_with_tear:

Please, if you can, report it in the bug section for us too :growing_heart: @fjmg_2003

The only way style preset would be useful is if it was outfit and makeup only, at which the makeup is messed up now because it changes eye colors and facial parts, like yo Devs do you hear us players? :+1:
