Please make traits, ambitions and name optional when uploading zoi presets to Canvas

Hi there,

I believe having the option to add traits, a name and ambitions when you save a zoi preset for personal use is great, but I that it does not necessarily make sense when you upload zois to Canvas, as you are mostly just sharing an aesthetic for downloaders to use, and they can (and will) change the ambitions, traits and names to their liking when they do so.

I believe it should be optional to add a name, traits and ambitions when uploading to Canvas. I personally believe it would make zoi preset creators’ workflow easier, as it was before :folded_hands:

Let me know what you think!

Happy zoidventures :psycat_standing: :custom_heart:

I really hope they will rethink this one. It shouldn’t be required information. When I share a zoi on Canvas, I might say a character is artistic, but I don’t expect anyone to “abide” by that. I also give them a first name, but again, I fully expect people to name the zoi however they please.

People will change the name and all the other details to what they want anyways, so why force us to put information there that the downloading player will not want?

Furthermore, why force me to add that information to my zois I plan to play at some point? I will add all that stuff when I’m actually starting a new game, or adding a new zoi to a game using the Manage Families section.

It wastes our time as creators coming up with all that extra information that other people will probably discard without a moment’s thought!

Why does the inZOI team keep making these kind of mistakes with presets? Zoi presets worked great. Makeup presets worked great. They better stay away from outfit and face presets because those are the only ones they haven’t royally messed up yet.

Actually I can see how those details might be useful. For example, you might want to upload a related group of Zois with specific personalities, particularly with the family presets planned for the future. It’s easy enough to randomise these things in CAZ and for the downloader to change them, so it doesn’t seem like a big issue (though it probably should be optional, as you say).

I vote for optional
But also a CAZ option to see the name of the presets when mousing over (if you gave them one)
And an option to sort by name (A-Z or Z-A), those without names would appear below the list in date of creation order
